It sounds like quality roleplay to me. Just because you don’t want to ‘waste time’ rp’ing doesn’t mean prisoners should always be treated with the utmost disdain and almost always in a non rp way.

Exactly. MRP is supposed to have a roleplay element that makes it different from the lrp servers. Otherwise whats the point?
Only lawyers care about this type of RP, put in the work if you want to get a trial done but I highly doubt the HOS is going to give into your every request to turn a 3 minute brig sentence into a trial.
Its hard to put in the work, when you set up everything as HOS and you come back to a random security officer beating the guy to death and having it waved off as ‘ic’.
And you have, you aren’t beheaded on the spot for having contraband, you are being taken to brig, searched, if there isn’t enough evidence you will be released.
Narin, no, on MRP there isn’t time for that too, because before you gather any people to court it takes dozens of minutes, and most people executed are those that have multiple syndicate items on them.
Since when is a 3 minute brig sentence taken to trial, that is a waste of time and against space law rp anyways. You are putting words in my mouth.
When it comes to capital crimes there’s no need for a trial either. It’s a binary answer - were they found with a high-risk item or not? Were they found with syndicate tech or not? You’re still proving it’s very rare that cases are worth taking to court.
They are rare, and shouldn’t be used in all cases. But when they do happen they usually make the round a little bit more interesting for everybody and is an excellent way to get some good rp in.
In the current culture doing this is almost impossible because sec officers know its ok for them to just off prisoners whenever they want.
Also, to not only side with ‘security wing’, I do think that ‘random’ ling checks should be prohibited, because if you fail you basically kill a person, which is far from being a good sec on MRP. I know that problem is with lings that are almost uncheckable, and general fear because good ling can kill 2/3 sec officers if they get lucky, but this should be addressed with changing how ‘ling checks’ work, not how understaffed security tries to maintain order on the station.
Edit: Many times on ~50 pop station there are like 7 ling and maybe 2/3 sec department, this is beyond retarded and should be addressed on MRP.
Exactly, this is what my other thread is all about, securities role and the limits of valid hunting on MRP. I suggest posting your idea in there, it could use a good bump.
Edit: I also agree with your second sentiment, having to face team lings when there is only a detective makes rp impossible.

It is only one thing I think is bad on MRP, executing confirmed traitors without trial, which I said before is too lengthy and time consuming for people that wanna RP their job, not trial, is good.
Man, I was planning on having a nugget race next time I find myself some valids. The winner can crawl to medbay and beg them to give their limbs back, before we come in and nugget them again.

This is the exact blunt inflexibility that I would expect from someone like Zane Blake. I gotta ask you @VictorPride if you are just in it to silently click spessmen without any RP interaction, why not take it to LRP where that kind of behavior should be welcomed, why do you insist on doing it on MRP?
