I wanted to renounce my captainship that round and democratically ellect. But I discarded the idea when I wanted to cryo and it was a greenshift, so giving captainship to someone else would work itself out. I see the chaplain as the “quartermaster” of service, so that’s why I made them captain.

Kate was actually a deep cover ling that only shows up on greenshifts. You sold the station to a succ-er.
On to the actual appeal.
Kate shouldn’t have immediately gone to conflict with the apid captain, but to be fair, the way the apid captain began their interaction meant that there was only going to be conflict.
This was bad RP from two people, but there didn’t seem to be malice behind it, just stupidity and assumptions made on both sides.
Apid captain assumed that Kate was a greytider who broke in and stole the gear. Kate assumed that the new captain was gonna arrest/perma them.
I can see the situation from Kate’s point of view, that as the lawful Captain someone was trying to arrest them, and so resisting that arrest was lawful.
I vouch for kate temp ban to be mrp/sage.

I’d agree with you here if the cap didnt go for kate first, its kind of hard to RP a situation if someone is chasing you around with a telebaton.
the cap did the logical thing instead of risking anything his only problem was using the telebaton which was nerfed to be completely useless

the logical thing to do if you’re a late join captain where someone probably has the spare already is to ask who has it?
I know everytime I late-join as cap I dont immeaditly just open fire on who ever is acting captain, I ask over command/common on an update as to who is the acting captain, and for them to return my stuff; I do this on the arrival shuttle and it should be common sense
What so you’d just stand there while someone who isn’t even in any authority to be acting cap screams ‘I AM THE REAL CAP’
