I gave myself the name ironically, like how my previous title was (unrobust) and (comdon)
Gary, Kat and Hal are the only ones from this list who I have seen play captain. Hal got command banned recently, I believe (don’t quote me on that) and Kat doesn’t show up as cap a whole lot lately. Personally I don’t particularly like Gary as a captain, he seems to be more hype than substance. Best captain was clearly Curium. 
I Hal was in fact ban recently, mostly because I said kek as part of a joke, and turn out is in the secret list of banned words.
Gotta throw my hat to Gary without Tyranidus being in the running

Combat is completely unimportant as a captain in my opinion. I’d like to see you roleplay a bit more deeply, use some more custom emotes with the “me” function, and maybe express Gary’s unique characteristics more consistently in-game.
Maybe consider figuring out consistent speech patterns and mannerisms for Gary. Maybe you have already got this nailed and I failed to pick up on it, or maybe the rounds I spectated were not good examples of your normal gameplay. It just felt like you were speaking through your character, rather than considering how Gary would react in a given situation.
I have only spectated your captain gameplay for like an hour and a half total, over two rounds, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
The positive things I have seen from you, are a complete lack of valid-hunting, and a good level of communication. Both of those are super important traits for a captain and I think they outweigh what I perceive as rocky roleplay skills that are very much “in development”.
I would love to hear your self-assessment and analysis of your own gameplay. Where do YOU think you could improve?
I want to be clear that I don’t think you’re bad at captaincy at all, just not as great as all the hype led me to believe. When I actually got around to spectating you I went into it expecting the pinnacle of captain gameplay, and didn’t see it.
You hype your character up so much, that you develop an expectation for greatness. If you perform even a hair under that bar (which you set), then people will naturally be disappointed.
Sorry if any of this is stuff you don’t want to hear. I don’t want to tear you down in anyway, but I think real, honest criticism can help us all improve if we take it well!

To add onto Squk’s point on Gary… for someone to read what has been established about Gary, someone watching how they interact and carry themself, you would not see the same character or be able to tell the two entities are the same character at all other than the name. The in game Gary appears to come off more of an avatar than a character that works on a space station, let alone the character that has been established in lore (yes I do read everything that goes into that channel).
This is obviously something that a lot of people struggle with, but there needs to be a level of seperation between oneself and their character(s), and as stated earlier, people need to think of how the character they had created would react to a situation rather than themselves. This is the entire reason my character from Golden doesn’t appear anymore; she would be simply too dangerous to have around and would 100% kill people over small grievances, simply because that was how the character was and how they behaved, not as i behaved.
As Haliris has said countless times, it’s important to play a character and not as an avatar of yourself.
