The ranged syringe gun with knockout drugs is much more terrifying than some idiot with a melee stun. Not to mention you can make instant knock out drugs if delayed ones aren’t working out.

only instant knockout is Zombie Powder, which is hard to get in its own right. However, 2u charcoal is enough to purge a standard syringe, and 12u can even purge a bluespace syringe

regardless, i dont quite think chem shit is balanced either. it’s more balanced than stuns by being counterable with shit like hardsuits, though (similar to how flashes are counterable with eye protection)

The armory that gets negated half the time when you actually need it, since the only reliable guns in there are the three shotguns. All lasers get negated by EMPs, which are braindead easy to acquire, and shields, which the cult, traitors, and nukies all possess. You could literally do better with an e bola and a baton most of the time.

Either way, you all complain about the instant, melee ranged stun of the krav maga gloves, but the counters already exist for it, and every other department has an item of comparable power. Yes, quite a few of them take time, but most of them are also more powerful than the krav maga gloves.

The meathook that the miners can acquire, the instant death syringes of a chemist, the CE’s total immunity to slipping, and using the SM to turn in to a walking nuke all make the gloves pale in comparison. The krav maga gloves are owned by the guy who only ever leaves the armory in an emergency. Unless you wreck all of sec, or raid the brig, it’s rare to encounter them, and you’re more likely to die to the warden’s gun than his gloves.

The warden should be the most powerful seccie, after the HoS. And before anyone says “he should be dangerous by merit of skill” yes, that’s true, but he also should be a cut above the grunts in terms of gear. He’s a specialist in dealing with crooks at close range beacuse the brig cells are tiny, and he guards literally 14 guns. If he’s not a skilled warden, you’ll just shove him and strip the gloves off, then dab on him.

If you all don’t want to get stunned, then grab a bola and break his knees with floor tiles, or make an improv shotgun loaded with slugs. The meme gloves are easy to counter with a little preparation.
