Some of you may not know this, but Victor Pride, aka Zane Blake, recently got banned for borderline ERP with Velvet Pinkwalt due to the 0 tolerance policy. You can see the conversation that went into that here, but I personally believe that someone’s life shouldn’t be ruined over a single mistake, and that belief carries over into how I feel about the ban. This isn’t some random who showed up for a couple days or a couple months initiating ERP. Victor had something like 1,800 plus hours with very very few notes up until this point. I’ve seen it argued that with those hours he should know better, and yes I agree. I’m not here to argue whether or not what he did was wrong/worthy of being banned. It was. I’m just saying that one mistake in comparison to the massive amount of hours shouldn’t dictate whether or not he gets to play on a server he dedicated such a massive part of his life to.
Server/forum regulars will know that Victor and I have never really gotten along very well, but over those almost thousands of hours he’s shown, time and time again, that he more or less does the right thing. I know the 0 tolerance policy is there for a reason. I know it’s to keep creeps of the server and to legally protect the server because kids play tend to play here. I know if he gets unbanned people will use the unbanning as a reason why they shouldn’t be banned as well. But I am 100% sure that if he gets unbanned, he won’t do it again. He’s not dumb. And I know, that personally, if I ever fuck up like that in the future, I’d want the same grace shown towards me.
(As far as unbanning velvet goes, I’m not sure, she was an equal participant, but with far far fewer hours if I’m understanding it correctly, and thus probably should be handled in the normal way.
Also, don’t argue with me about specific things Victor has done. This isn’t a ban appeal, this isn’t me saying he has to do a ban appeal or should come back or anything like that. I’m just saying that should he chose to come back, he should at least get a second chance for who he is and what he has done in the community. Yes it was a mistake, and a big one, but everyone deserves a little bit of grace.)
Meh fuck em both some of the few people on the server I do not like , not because of how they play or what they say but how they carry themselves. You would think with over 100 hours on a station you would not want to do stupid shit or push the limits but guess what. They thought that they were untouchable been here for too long , had friends who would do a favor. Now they just like the rest of us beaned for a reason that they think is wrong.
Thanks for the kind words TheMaggotGuy especially considering we haven’t always gotten along IC, and yes your words do closely reflect my own views. Bee is not the appropriate place for that sort of behaviour as there are under-18s observing and it’s good to see that further action has been taken to legally protect the server including a detailed ERP rule, removal of erotic content in-game and more consistent banning.
I haven’t forgotten about Bee yet and I do hope to one day return in some capacity but not right now. You might continue to see me on the forums, Discord and making some small PRs for NSV13 however. after reading it all it wasnt actual erp romantic rp sure kinda getting there sure but it didnt actually get sexual in anyway lap sitting isnt sexual either so honestly I think both should be unbanned but warned about doing it again
I mean its been argued before that shitting in someones mouth is erp and that was deemed not so so I cant see how this can be deemed erp if that isnt I would deem it RRP instead of ERP because really theres nothing erotic oh he stroked her tail not exactly erotic
