Rules Broken (if relevant): Interfered with the round to prevent security from doing it's job, gave away meta information in PMs and pretty much ruined my round, because talking to him led to me getting human harmed by an out of control AI.

Incident Description: 
I was sec this round, all round the The service borg and the janitor borg, were trying to break a prisoner out of perma, numerous times these borgs were asked to leave and they would not comply, even with law 2. Had to forcefully try to evict borgs, borgs would bee line it for their friends. I managed to disable the service borg and temporarily stuffed them in safe place (but then of course janitor borg found him in a random locker off the beaten path, because these two were clearly communicating in discord.) 

Admin starts bwoinking me literally AS the borgs are breaking a prisoner out of perma, is siding with the borgs, even though borgs are human harming, ignoring law 2 and obviously just helping their meta friends out. Tells me that I am not allowed to do anything about the borgs, and then tells me that their rules have been changed (meta information) – while talking to him, AI crushes me using shutter controls and kills me, which even though is human harm, didn’t seem to bother the Admin one bit. What the actual fuck is going on here? Why is this admin such a shitter? Guy seemed completely indifferent and just kept lecturing me about the borgs, as they were literally breaking a prisoner out and attacking me. Amazing.

Okay, so.
You arrested a dude called Lane Ironmonger.
He was shouting very loud things like “What are my charges?”, “I've done nothing wrong.”, “Release me!”, “HELP ME!” and “Gonna get executed now.”. This all got an attention of a borg Kuiper.

As you can see, borg answered a call about human harm, and went to the prison wing to investigate.

As we can see, you engaged this borg with full force. The warden even tried to stop you, but you’ve been still hitting this borg, even after he died, despite him not even touching anyone there. He might have opened those doors to get in and accidentally he could make an opportunity there for the prisoner to escape, but he wasn’t actively breaking him out (he wasn’t dragging him out or anything, he just was there.). From what I can see, there was no justification for your horrible overescalation. After being bwoinked and told to stop, you didn’t and you accused that borg and the prisoner of metacomming but you were looking for justification for your actions I guess.

Okay, so.
You arrested a dude called Lane Ironmonger.
He was shouting very loud things like “What are my charges?”, “I’ve done nothing wrong.”, “Release me!”, “HELP ME!” and “Gonna get executed now.”. This all got an attention of a borg Kuiper.

The second time Lane Ironmonger was arrested, his perma brig arrest was handled by the warden himself.

The borg attempted to check on a prisoner, but prisoner was in the middle of being arrested, and the borg attempted to interfere and start running around like crazy and opening doors all over the place.

This part of the log clearly demonstrate that I attempted to FLASH and REMOVE the borg NUMEROUS times from the brig BEFORE I started escalating it. It’s like you guys completely ignored this part of the log.

I tried 2 times to remove the borg with just flashing and without attacking the borg, look at the time stamps between the flashes and grabs

The third time the borg ingored direct human commands, I incapacitated the brog.

The borg was PEACEFULLY removed as the LOGS CLEARLY FREAKING SHOW – TWO TIMES-- THE BORG WAS REMOVED TWICE, before I engaged in escalation.

I did not over-escalate, I tried to solvethe situation peacefully, but the borgs were forcing my hand, along with an incredibly chaotic situation that they made worse, I felt I was justified in escalating after trying to resolve the issue peacefully initially.

Also if you check the logs, you can find me asking the RD about KUIPER and attempting to first go that route before escalating.

Also before borg was even flashed or removed, he was told to get out and just plain ignored it.

Borgs should not have been acting that way, it was inexcusable, admin should have known this, the borgs then proceeded to all sorts of human harm the rest of the round as evidenced by this screenshot

This is not okay behavior from silicon, I was as security attempting to control an already crazy situation, and borgs trying to randomly do their own thing after being expressly told no, and removed physically twice – admin should have acknowledged that this is inappropriate behavior from the borgs perspective, instead our interaction got me killed by AI, who should not be able to human harm at all admin ignored all this and instead banned me, and then sec was neutered the rest of the round as borgs ran amok.

I don’t think these are the correct steps for an admin to take in this situation. I understand that they are under pressure and duress with a lot of tickets, but this is not okay behavior for borgs no matter what, and admin should have been able to recognize that and mediate better instead of just telling me I was wrong with out explaining why, and giving away meta information.

So this is going to be me addressing the admin report only, since the two subjects are crossing streams hard. If you wanna keep discussing if the ban itself was justified, move that discussion back to CrackRocks banned by RukoFamicom . My opinion here is related to the events spelled out in that thread, and I don’t wanna repost all those damn logs, so please read it for reference.

So a key thing with admin reports is intention and understanding of the situation. Ruko and Vex were extremely swamped this round. While I was digging through the logs to figure out everything that happened, I had ruko in my filter and had to keep skipping past their tickets with other people to read the situation. I would post them, however posting logs of people’s admin tickets in unrelated threads is a breach of player-admin confidentiality and I will get disbarred.

Point is Ruko was was very distracted and worn when they got to your situation, and began investigating things halfway through. They got a report that you killed a borg because they were checking to see if a prisoner was human harmed. When they finally got to your thing the law 5 had been added when it wasn’t in place previously, and they had missed the entire first half build up.

Just like when looking through logs and putting yourself in a box of the players knowledge to determine if what they did is justified with only what they knew, do the same for Ruko here. Ruko pops over to perma after the warden goes postal and sees a prisoner laying on the ground dying in crit. He checks AI laws and sees there is a law 4 and 5 safe guarding against harmful sec. He checks the attack logs and sees that you killed Kuiper without ever being hit. With so many tickets going on, and the presence/immediacy of the moment, isn’t able to review logs from all sources 10 minutes ago.

The one mistake Ruko made was not having the patience to deal with 20 tickets, then ask you why you destroyed a borg, only to have you caps lock blast him. Its standard for us to bwoink the accused on everything since it lets us get a defense and focus our look at logs. I have been sitting here for over 2 hours (Jesus) now piecing together everything that happened here. I have had nothing else to distract me or pull my attention away. Ruko had a lot going on and limited knowledge on the situation

He certainly lost his cool a bit, and the only real possible breaks in rules would be the following.

> Obviously, handle tickets respectfully and do not be condescending or aggressive in admin PM’s. It is only a atmospherics simulator game for clowns.
> If you are being insulted or harassed, don’t provoke or retort their behavior as it will only escalate hostility. You can choose to ignore them if they do this, but you should still attempt to resolve their ahelp or forum post in an efficient manner.

Even then once this ticket was concluded, he self-assessed he should not be handling the issue further. He passed off digging through logs and giving a proper judgement to me and Vex, he got off spessmen and took a nap to cool down. I personally can’t hold it against him too much.

I understand that the moment was chaotic and Rukos quick assessment interfered with your round, but being as aggressive as you were in the ticket only hurt the situation.

As for the protecting meta-comm people or specifically targeting you, I don’t see any evidence of that at all. Ruko is not the type as far as I know to really hold a grudge against anyone [EDIT] and act on it. And giving you OOC information is up to the admin’s discretion. Using it IC is where the rule break would be.

Ultimately I don’t think there should be any action taken against Ruko. They misunderstood the situation and acted with the information they had. Their decision may have been influenced a bit by the flaming nature of the ticket, and they did get worked up, but they immediately backed away and tried to address the situation properly afterwards.

However, since it is an admin report, this is just an opinion. Someone unrelated to the issue and of higher seniority will have to review it.

I was going to comment on my ban appeal, but it was approved and locked so I will just say this.

RukoFamicom seems to be an overall decent guy, who was under a lot of pressure, and I see that now, it was difficult to see in the moment, but I get it now. His final response to my ban appeal was very satisfactory, and I hold no further ill will or grudge against him.

To Ruko, I apologize in the moment I got heated, it was chaotic, and everything kind of just imploded at the same time which caused me to get frustrated with you, and reply the way I did. I believe if I had acted better, my outcome would most likely have been much better, and I will try in the future to act accordingly.

I rescind this admin complaint, as all my issues have been resolved amicably, and I do not wish to push the issue further.

I sincerely appreciate the administrators efforts and hard work to untangle this, and I do apologize to the fella who had to dig through logs for 2 hours, that is absolutely saintly work, seriously thank you Kausal.

I lost my cool and made an already frustrating situation worse for both of us.

I just outlined this as bad in an admin app by @TheNeoGamer42 as well so I’m pretty embarrassed by falling into it.
