Remove the stupid Rage-Nerf on atvs

The fact It was firing extremely fast was not intended at all, It was the weapon ignoring the obvious cooldown It had in place

I might be out of the picture for a while, going on vacation soon

It sound’s like it was a spite PR. On what basis would you assume that equipping something stuns and throws you out of an ATV or even a bike. It sucks gameplay and realism wise.

Im opening a gofundme to fund a drivers license to the PR owner.

It sorta was, it was the usual bandaid fix to tackle a ‘‘current’’ issue, in this case people shooting weapons on a vehicle and the whole hitbox not working properly (Vehicles are very capable of blowing up btw)

Hi.
I’m the PR owner, my job is literally training people to be safe drivers of this type of vehicle:

Checkmate

It was not and this has been addressed already earlier in the thread.

I’m closing this now because it has served its purpose for discussion, and I’ve stated a clear response to it in great detail because there was never a rage nerf at all. Please read below and feel free to make a new thread that isn’t based on bad information if you’d like this to continue because I’m tired of seeing it parroted that this was a spite or rage nerf when it wasn’t.

Anyone can remove the hands requirement for wheelchairs if they want - we have guides for how to set yourself up to begin coding in discord and one on the forums as well. If you have spent time contributing to this thread, you have spent more time doing so than it would take to follow one of those guides. Once you have the coding environment set up, I will hold your hand through making this change as your first PR in the hopes that you gain the power to be the change you want to see.

As for other vehicles - I personally like vehicles being totally unviable for offensive combat so I’m happier with where most vehicles are now (for style rather than offering significant mechanical advantage). If you are motivated by this though and want to make a PR for it so that players are more able to use items while riding/driving, but are easily dismounted when they or the vehicle takes damage, I’ll approve it immediately.

I’m not as much for making vehicles take only one hand as @powerfulbacon suggested because inaccurate guns are still very powerful and the worst offenders will still be especially bad offenders (secway + full riot armor to bypass slowdown, bicycle + any melee weapon), but I won’t block this from being done if other maints are willing to approve it.

Make a new thread that’s a bit less misguided if you want to continue the discussion so it stops being derailed with incorrect assumptions about what and why vehicles changed.
