I just want to talk about the fact that I want to talk about the damage values. and how y’all have given the topic more avoidance than reason.
I am basing my opinion on the damage I have seen non-melee items do, I remember a round where I got shot with a syringe and died before I could even get to chem storage to grab some charcoal. I was next to cryo and began running immediately.
to reiterate, the topic is about YOU, not melee balance.

You speak in confusing circles.
I’m respecting the fact you don’t want to start a thread about melee discussion, and greatly appreciate it if this is actually the case… but then you immediately talk about melee balance… and then say the thread is about YOU with a link to a thread complaining about Cae.
You’ve made a bunch of threads, people disagree with you and bring up valid arguments but you’re just like hrrnnn the guy spend 20 minutes making a deathmix but I want to robust him with my toolbox that I randomly found and keep making new threads.
You keep changing numbers. Make a list of shit and change values, instead of scrapping everything.
People make a PR to implement your numbers, you start reeeeeing.
Pretty sure you once made a post threatening to sue beestation if they use your ideas.
You complain about shit like stunbatons stunning in 2 hits but instead of nerfing that, you want to make more shit overpowered, which’d probably make some shit more overpowered than some overwatch shit.

Change the damage values. Compile the code. Setup a test server. Maybe invite some people. Test some weapons. Adjust values. Repeat until you’re happy with the result. Make a PR or get someone to help you with doing that. Get feedback. Repeat until accepted.

I keep learning more and more. the damage values in the first melee balance thread were a guess, and back then I was really hoping for more conversation. the numbers in the first thread are indeed too high, I knew this and was ready to accept that.
as I mentioned above I knew the first set of numbers was too high. said PR was using those numbers.
that was resolved between myself and beestation. I have come to the conclusion that beestation doesn’t need to suffer just because you people are assholes.
I have never complained about stunbatons stunning in 2 hits. stun batons stunning in two hits is what makes me feel this is balanceable. I’ve mentioned the “melee weapon balance triumvirate” and the baton is there, in its two hitting glory.

this thread is about getting some clarity in regards to all previous threads I’ve made. this is about me not understanding something that you are saying. now before you say I’m not understanding “no” I don’t remember the reason you gave while saying so. my memory is not that bad.
this is about you [the community] avoiding giving me a reason as to why. reason your avoidance please.
“the damage is fine” is not a reason. there is no fact in the statement. only opinion.
