I’ll just say I would agree with this because killing someone for simply walking in a high sec room is kinda bull, but this topic is done with so I’ll leave that here.

That is BS. The armory is the only one actually dangerous enough to deserve a response that lethal.
the captain starts off with multiple high risk items in his possession
you can teleport to some pretty high risk areas with the teleporter, such as the bridge, xenobiology, the AI sat, and the abandoned teleporter (for dumping bodies)
the gravity generator room kind of generates the gravity for the station which means that it’s moderately required for the station to even function, so if someone is in there and it isn’t the captain, HoS, or CE, than it can fuck right off back to where it came from
Maybe captain’s office deserves a lethal response, but the other two aren’t dangerous enough to require drastic measures.
Also, xenobiology. Really. That’s your idea of a high risk area?

When literally everyone in science has access to it, it’s not a high risk area.
Not to mention that stuff usually takes like 20-30 minutes to even make.
let’s be real here, the only people who go to xenobiology are the scientists and sec for arresting the golems

Fair enough, though I honestly use the teleporter as a short cut half the time.
Still I feel like you shouldn’t blasts some greytider who break into your office and leave him for dead. I mean you can blast him but make attempts to bring him back or not kill them. Like do actual sec officers blast someone who wanders into a restricted area? No.

i was captain on Golden, i got my disabler, my egun, and my antique gun, and i racked up a good 6 fucking kills just by sitting at my desk shooting all the fucking bats that tried to come up through the vents
i don’t think you quite comprehend the sheer amount of greytiding that goes on here, so the lethal option is a hell of a lot more viable than it would be on Sage
