I would like it if Paramed got its own hardsuit since getting people from spaced areas is pretty fucking common and having to run to EVA instead of just going to sayā¦a Paramedās office (You can cut the morgue in half no on uses it anyway.) is a lot easier if i am sitting in medical.
TG code isnt suited for slow roleplay servers, you have many many ways to get yourself killed and only few to come back.
Making medical (or other departments for that matter) more tedious and slow wonāt encourage rp because clicking on someone 3 more times isnt going magically make me want to roleplay with that person.
I really dont understand why coders and admins are pushing for higher standards of roleplay on the server made on code which encourages quick chaotic rounds with legacy of chaotic noob and tider containment.
Expecting rp especially on the server which has stable 60-70 doesnt make any sense, you cant get any meaningful RP above 30 pop.
Thats why we plan on forcing it by getting in the way of doing your job and making you stand at the counters to shout for 20 min at the respective department holding you back ![]()

It is yeah. shame MDs arenāt allowed in chem and getting them is like pulling teeth.
Iāve played far too many rounds where chem vendors are empty at round end and requests go unfulfilled despite the role being filled to cap (if they even stay in chem that is), frankly its just became routine at this pointā¦
Maybe the solution is to separate chemistry into the pharmacy and then the chemistry lab and give medical doctors access to the pharmacy but not chemists. Give chemists access to an area to build factories away from the crew. Remove patient rooms (They are literally never used.) and Psyche room (Also never used.) and medical supply room (Pointless anyway when you can put the second med vendor in the surgery room where its more useful.)
pretty shure there were some PRs that made meta have a better medbay.
On that note⦠chem is in a weird spot for me, I doubt most actually play chemist in order to help heal people⦠because all the people that are white mages end up funneling into MD instead, to actually be the one healing⦠it leaves chem open to people who donāt really want or care about helping in the first place⦠kind of a shameā¦
I do think that chem should be an MD post, specifics on how is tricky but merging the roles and opening the cap by 2 should be fine. Similar to how Sci only has 2 roles, Scientists taking up 4 of the tasks within it.

Adding in wounds would shift the entire dynamic of combat. You canāt do hit and runs anymore without seriously risking a debilitating injury and if youāre a wizard a single shotgun shell could cuck you with no way of healing it. If people go on a manhunt for you thereās already very little that you can do, but if youāre robust you just might make it. If you get a wound then itād be pretty much game over.
Maybe that is the reason NT uses mainly laser and energy weaponry?
the problem is this exists and works fine elsewhere.
Hell even servers where your bones can break instead of tgās ālol just suture and mesh most thingsā antags usually have ways around it, yeah you have to invest in it so IDEALLY you want medbay to do it, but you arenāt left without options and it gives some proper lethality and risk to combat.

we probably have the most hugbox medical system out there now, goons is pretty light but I also get the impression that antags are less powerful and attacks are less damaging too.
