Incident Description:

Both times the offenders powergamed massively by ordering crates of guns and swat armor as soon as they could do it and causing chaos after.

13698, Greenshift, Cargo gets AA, orders guns and swat crates, declares cargonia, bad shit happens, sec comes down, attempts to arrest, guns start going off, sec fires back, I drag Bean to perma, strip completely, somehow he gets out, not sure how, I guess his friend the QM Bryson Eggbert came by to rescue him. (Slight note: Metacomming? But not sure about that, it’s less important for my report) They come back later and attempt to shoot down sec, they get gunned down, round ends shortly after.

13700, Blue alert, captain is being a douchebag, CC orders his demotion, it ends up being a brawl, after this is resolved, HoP takes position of captain. Proceeds to immediately give AA to the entirety of cargo, I go check in on them and like 5 people start opening fire on me, those 4 + 1 which had full swat face covering and captains spare ID. They were all geared up with combat shotties and swat armor + energy guns. Well, this time I do get killed, my corpse gets dragged to cargo by Bryson, it gets put in the cargo locker and welded in there by Bean. Then the locker gets spaced, AI and borg were watching this happen. None of the people mentioned were antags from what I could tell from observes.

TL;DR: Bean and his buttbuddies being shitters on MRP.

I’m just gonna preempt Beans message of “You attacked Cargonia”. The greenshift, sec gets called to cargo, I see the stockpile of weaponry you guys have, I see sec officer getting shot at by shotguns, of course I arrest the entire department. Second shift, the first or second time I even walk into cargo, I get shot at right away before I even have time to say anything.

Bean self-antags constantly. I wasn’t on during these particular rounds but a few days ago he did the exact same Cargonia shit getting other cargo techs to fight sec after he was arrested for stealing loads of engi gear. Then he comes back later and breaks into the bridge and attacks the captain and security with a mech. Why he’s still allowed on MRP is anyone’s guess.

This is the first mention of starting the tired cargonia meme. I assume it was due to the unrelated explosion, but I am not sure. While shoring up defenses can have a valid reason, I don't feel stealing the entire teleporter fits on MRP.

Cargonia, unless with serious cause, is breaking rules on MRP. It is subverting the chain of command without any reason, and also preventing you from doing your job for the station. I do not know why they insist on doing it on MRP and not LRP where it would be more readily accepted. That said, they were still role playing at least.

Bean tells Phyllis over comms to eat his ass and provokes him, keeping their rivalry alive for the round. Nothing comes from this though other than a comm conversation.

At this point time passes and junk happens. I can pull logs on it if people want, but for brevity and time sake on my end I’ll summarize. Phyllis sets up electric chairs and runs out of medkits so he goes to cargo to pick up an order he placed for like 6 burn kits and 2 brutes. He gets them from what I can tell.

Bean gets nanites from the RD that prevent him from dying. He gets pissed off since they also force the user to say "All Hail Daemon Maximuscapus! Lord of Toxins, Master of Nanites!". Bean and Phyllis joke around about killing them, and arrest him while talking about the intent to give them the electric chair.

Bean and Phyllis together bring the RD to the bring and put him in an electrical chair. Bean is allowed to run the chair, but also does it a second time which kills the RD, apparently when Phyllis just wanted to torture him? At this point the report is backfiring a bit I think.

Cargo gets AA possibly, although I don't see how easily in logs. Based on what Phyllis says, AA is being handed out to anyone who wants it, maybe being what sparks a raid on cargo. Phyllis raids cargo arresting Bean. Bean escapes. Sec vs. Cargo is in full swing.

All of cargo weapon purchases happen at this point, ordered by Bryson. There were never any swat packages ordered through cargo, or anything else that would fall under power gaming. Also these were bought an hour and a half after shift, Not as soon as they could. Since sec vs cargo is a thing now, the orders are justifiable

This was just one of the two rounds and was a lot to go for. It certainly wasn’t as clear cut as cargo just being powergaming shitters. They do their job at least. The teleporter and killing the RD are bad, but Phyllis had a direct hand in the later. I’ll do the other round in a bit I guess.

I believe you’re missing some information here. After the whole RD incident:

The very reason the raid happened is because of them having guns and AA and basically being cargonia. They had guns before the raid. Also during the raid, they used lethals on me, which forced me to use lethals on them as well, or else I would have died there.

Them being raided for having guns, aa and what have you does not give them justification to buy more guns.

Not to mention after Bean’s escape he and the QM did come back in swat gear, they used the teleporter or their AA to get into the brig, where they shot one sec dead, I believe the detective, after which they tried to kill everybody else, but they got killed instead.

Imagine not banning cargoshitters just for ordering weapons and armor only for their own use, there should be only simple check if there was a threat to the station, if not, cargonians that were involved are banned. They are just lowly crewmembers, that should move crates and listen to requests.

Also it is very hard to see where the AA came from. Point I am trying to make is that yes, they were obviously powergaming and after I sell another part of my soul to go through the second round, I will most likely rule that way.

That said, you were having duels, shit talking and hosting torture sessions with them the whole round. It’s a much different picture from the original post, and it seems like everyone was doing powergammey gimmicks and having fun with it.

Indeed. This round alone would not have warranted a player report from me. This is setting up the scene as the exact next round they did the entire powergame and cargo vs sec thing but completely unprovoked and with a lot more needless death than before, unless my memory is faulty.

There’s really no justification for a bunch of crate pushers to have access to mountains of restricted weapons, bought using all the stolen budget cards, and access to them obtained via fraudulently obtained AA (since it’s damn sure the HOP or Captain didn’t authorise it). It just took them a little while to obtain all those aspects to pull it off easily.

I’m not saying it was justifiable. I’ve said it was powergaming twice. The point if me specifying that they were bought an hour and a half into round was to correct false accusations in the original report. It doesn’t matter how much you want them gone for breaking rule, the point of player reports it’s to find what actually happen and punish appropriately if necessary.

Bean originally gets told they would have a 1v1 brawl at sec, goes there and is harm beaten by sec and arrested. This whole round the HOS has been setting up public execution shows in a public hallway, and right before the first raid the HOS hooked up an RD for putting an advertisement in very positive nanites.

They already had weapons that provoked the raid, and with how sec had already treated and handled them, ordering weapon crates at that point is justifiable. I’m saying getting those first weapons and everything leading up to it is the issue. If Sec is openly aggressive and there are raids, that is cause enough to arm yourself.

You don’t see the hypocracy in this report of having a HOS challenge someone to a brawl, have personal meetings in command spaces with a cargo tech, agree and follow through with the execution of a law abiding RD, and go on a wordless raid without asking why cargo had weapons first? Both sides wanted the war in this round, and if you only see issues on cargos side you have a bias.

All that said, everyone seemed to have fun this round. Apparently this is just a teaser, and the next reported round is the issue. I can only look through player logs for so long before needing a break, so I’ll be getting to the player report climax later today.

Just saying bro but Zane Blake has a 200% bias towards security, so you cant really trust nothin out his mouth, they play a very tight ass “justice” and muh crime cop every round, and crimes are IC issues as long as it dont break the powergaming rule.
Also I never ordered no crates I was just fuckin with the HoS lmao.
I got out of the brig because the nanites had subdermal ID, and of course I had been given AA so I had infinite AA basically.

That said, everyone knows Bean constantly powergames cargo and does Cargonia every round. Moving forward we are going to hard line against no-RP and powergaming.

I skimmed through the rest but it turns into an all out war between cargo/HOP/crew vs. Sec. I see all of that IC, and anything at that point, like raiding the armory to take up arms to stop a mutiny, is not powergaming or MRP break. There was a very real IC reason and build up to everything.

I would probably say the captain was a bit incompetent by handing out AA and beings so memey, but they’re already MRP banned lul. It was also valid for the HOS to declare mutiny at this point
