Add an option for when they make a honeycomb to include some chemicals from their body for deadly/helpful food and partial purging.

grab push — sends the enemy flying 4 tiles. stuns if they hit a wall or player.
grab grab harm — uses the stinger to inject 10u poison and deals major brute damage. deals some damage to the user.
harm grab(while targeting the head) — uses antennas to stab someone in the eyes, inducing temp blindness, high stam damage and low damage. also causes temporary deafness in the user.
push push grab push — creates a space wind behind you, blowing people away and launches you forward with the person you are holding. if you hit a wall, the target will be crushed into it, dealing massive brute and stam damage.
passive 40% block chance and a small damage increase. The normal wing ability now knocks down whoever is in your way while using it.

works like a chameleon suit, as well as doubling as a pretty good armour(syndi hardsuit level). if you take so and so much damage the disguise falls.
it has 2 abilities: adrenaline and Swarm release
adrenaline has 2 charges on purchase, and takes 2 minutes to charge one back
swarm release will summon 5 bees around you with a random basic damage chem
weaknesses:
must be activated/deactivated before use.
can only take it off while deactivated
its full-body covering(Toggelable faceplate)
can’t wear a backpack
getting emp’d will scramble its chameleon feature for a period
swarm needs to be rechaged with honey.
only apids can wear it

About bee dying due to stinging someone. When bee stings, the stinger gets stuck in the victim. The stinger pulls out some bee’s internal organs if i remember correctly. Maybe make it damage organs when they sting?
Pretty sure that is a thing unique to when bees sting humans?
Nah it’s funnier if all of their organs spill out on the floor after using the stinger once. Gotta be willing to give their life for the sake of the hive, after all.
I think I recommended once that there should be a wasp subrace that can only be attained through mutation liquid or the pride mirror and lets you sting others without effectively disemboweling yourself in the process.
Actually I believe it’s specifically mammals, with our thick skins or something.

human skin is kinda elastic(pull on it) which is why there stinger gets stuck. since bee stingers have hooks means they cant be pulled out

There are bees that can sting without this issue iirc.
A huge stinger also wouldn’t have the issue from what I know.
As opposed to a separate race I’d make it a default apid thing, make it stick you to the target, like a permanent grab that stops you from pulling too, and require resist to pull out, and have that take a bit. Meanwhile the target takes like 5 brute damage and gets toxins over time.
Regular apid toxins just make you dizzy, which means you’re doing this long ass manuever for shits and giggles, but you can get a stun toxin mutation from genetics that also makes it easier to pull out. Call it a hornet stinger or something.

oh yeah, maybe genetics could make a mutation that give apids sting, which does similar damge as xenomorph neurotoxin.
