Ban Reason:
When given a corpse by a tider as detective, shot a medical doctor to crit for shoving them once and trying to clone them, then killed and tried to cremate both the doctor and the corpse as the doctor tried to clone the corpse a second time. You should know better
Appeal Reason:
This ban reason has 0 context and Caecilius ignored my reasonings. Of course its going to look bad when they list that I just killed a doctor for trying to revive people. I’ll explain why it was justified to kill them. I’ll use a timeline sort of format; basically less edgy greentext because its good for laying out a series of events in order
-I’m a detective
-I have a corpse given to me, don’t know anything about them other than they are wanted.
-Before I can even search the corpse, the doctor (I’m gonna call whoever it was the ‘Doctor’ because I cannot remember their IC.) tries to take the corpse from me.
-I go back into security, they follow me in
-Earlier in the round, I had killed a ling ‘Headspider’. This means that it was a CONFIRMED LING ROUND (This is very important and one of the first major things Caecilius seemingly didn’t acknowledge after I told them.
-Secondly, as a detective, I don’t have access to the sec gear locker.
-No Flashes, Stun batons, Bolas, etc etc.
-I have a pepper spray, baton (the very weak detectives kind which is objectively useless) and my Colt .38
-Because they are a doctor, they are wearing a medical hud, this pepper spray is ineffective. My only other viable choice was to use my colt .38 to crit them. This is the second thing Caecilius failed to take into account.
-After critting them, I brought them to the Brig Medical Station and healed them out of crit.
-Because I’m detective, I have no access to brig or timers. I let them go.
-They were still hostile
-At this point, they steal the corpse and I gun them down.
-I go to cremate them (Becuase it was a lings round, and lings like to steal corpses to absorb), but the crematorium button is not there so I leave their body in the crematorium.
So. What Caecilius fails to mentions in the ban reason, despite me telling him this in ahelps, is that I had NO OTHER EFFECTIVE WEAPONS and it was a CHANGLINGS ROUND .
I’m really struggling to understand why I’ve been job banned from heads and security for 2 weeks for blasting someone who didn’t take the hint after being crit once, and could well have been a ling from my POV. (also before someone takes it off-topic; No, they were not a ling in the end I was told, but that does not matter, as from my POV they were acting antagonistically. And I will repeat it again… NO OTHER EFFECTIVE WEAPONS.)
Additional Information:
I don’t understand how you can be upset that the detective used lethals on you when you remove the stamina damage from his pistol and make it 100% brute, nerf his baton into the ground, and not let him into sec gear.
