is already a thing and usually ends in nothing. Except if they insert laws for the sole purpose to be annoying. That is usually the point where I just start to ignore them.
No one needs Asimov + 15 “say honk every minute”-like laws
Rather than allow the AI to choose, make it random. This shuffles the laws a bit more and takes the AI out of its comfort zone laws of choice. Some shifts we’ll have asimov, sometimes crewsimove. Sometimes tyrant, corporate or paladin. It could be a shift mutation change.

That was already the plan, but with AI being able to choose from 3 random ones to reduce the RNG a little.

Maybe make it so there is a randomized list of lawsets for the RD to choose and it gets changed each round.

To be honest I am not a big fan of that idea. It will inevitably end with AI being crewsimov because most RD’s are not human for some reason. It’s the “AI will always choose the module with the most freedom” argument but instead way worse. I would rather not have a change than THAT change.

There are more boards then crewsimov and asimov. Id rather give lawsets like h.o.g.a.n

That implies that RD wont just give you crewsimov every time. Also I severely dislike the idea of putting even more control than there already is on the AI/Borg players into rd and captains hands.
I dunno man, from what i have seen, RD’s usually don’t like to give boring crewsimov laws, me included.
