Incident Description: I arrest HoS for the murder, get stunned by warden and some security and dragged to perma. While there is a shout match between the captain trying to clear things up hos starts to harmbaton me Camilie walks up to me and “puts the gun to my head ready to pull trigger”, says something and then kills me (note that I was mindshielded, late join security officer and at this point HoS backed down to talk to captain).
Later after hos got banned and gibbed immediately stole his ID and declared himself a new hos.

HOS said kill him, we saw him attack hos, and we know he wasn’t listening- latejoin griefer was what was on my mind. I declared myself new hos because shuttle had arrived and sec was a shit show- it was more a based joke

Cap helped us take down said seccie, and all I did as hos was dress up and go to shuttle.

Hos was banned for killing multiple people and generally ignoring cap orders and shuttle ping pong- he was toxic af. He literally cried ooc when I beat him after he tried recalling when cap said not to

“I was just following orders” is a bad excuse, but at the same time you’re supposed to be able to trust the HoS’s judgement. This seems like an IC issue with added salt. Looks like Alexander used his best judgement at the time, even if he did mess up in a couple places, it doesn’t necessarily seem to be with ill intent.

The whole reason we stopped letting heads be antags is because people kept getting banned doing what they say- since the Hos got banned i think we might be able to apply that thought process here a bit

Unauthorised executions are, and always have been, murder. Only the Captain or Acting Captain can order executions. As security, you are held to a higher standard than most players, especially on Sage.

Arch did the right thing attempting to arrest the HOS. Alexander definitely shouldn’t’ve field executed somebody.

Would suggest a temporary security ban but I’m a non-min so uh… that.

Collin Blue, the CMO, was promoted. I was in this round as the phys and tried multiple times to revive traitors etc. But, the HoS for that round, literally kept spacing the brains of people he killed just to be an asshole.

Off topic, I had to complain about the HoS even though he is already banned.

I saw Arch attempt arrest on our HoS, I saved the CMO, did revival, then held the CMO for protective custody.

While I was tending to the CMO I wasn’t aware Arch got killed. I don’t believe I managed to revive them. They were killed when they were already cuffed, I think.

If HoS tells you to kill a cuffed person it’s honestly a good reaction to say, “Why?” instead of just blasting a fellow seccie for doing what’s right.

Arch isn’t guilty of mutiny, before someone brings that up. They had good reason to overthrow command.

If I would of known HOS was being a shitter before this encounter, I wouldn’t of followed the order- but what I say was HOS say “cap permission to kill?” And then “kill them now” and took aim. What I saw was comms going “rogue sec” and everyone gang banging this plays meme

There is a difference between shooting somebody during combat and murdering somebody after they’re safely detained. You did the second. I can completely understand using a lethal weapon if he was standing, though it might’ve been a bit shitty, but you shot and killed him after he was DETAINED AND IN CUFFS.

That’s murder and self-antagging.

I’m gonna say a week security ban would be fair for this; again I’m no longer an administrator (at least for a while) so I cannot dish out a punishment, but this is a clear violation of our rules.

Points:

  • Hos was bad and should feel bad. He was banned
  • Mutiny/revolt against the HoS was completely justified, and thus handled IC
  • Mutiny is a capital crime worthy of perma or execution, and would also be handled IC even if there is OOC justification for it.
  • Security needs captain approval to execute, so it should have been perma
  • The HoS is the one responsible for getting that approval, not the individual members of security.

To put all of that together, the HoS was giving bad orders and were punished for it - on the occasion a mutiny happens and is deemed to be justified, the head(s) responsible for the uprising are usually punished, but the aftermath resulting from their shittery just becomes part of the round. Whenever a mutiny occurs, players have to choose the side they believe is correct based on the information they currently have *not based on admin logs and admin-tier information that they don’t. The Warden did not have all the information you are presuming he did and use that information against them after the fact is pretty shitty imo.

There is no clean way to resolve this, or almost any situation involving a mutiny and it should be treated as IC due to the inherent chaos and misinformation involved in the situation when accounting for the different perspectives. I definitely agree the warden should have probably been questioning the HoS by that point, but that doesn’t mean he’s required to if he wishes to remain loyal.
