Game Experience (More Detailed): I main chef, botany, and technically assistant, in addition to meddling with sci a good bit. I’ve played engineer and sec in the past but I’m hopeless when it comes to that tbh, I’m pretty sure I’m solid on medical however! Cargo is also very near and dear to my heart. I can’t think of other things to add here besides my adoration of xenobio even if I dislike the guys that run in sometimes with silver extracts.
Additional Notes (post-application edit): I understand my past with a high role is not great (ask Ruko, I started strong but crumbled and that’s on me), but I want to help the server, and mentor roles sound less stressful than adminning (absolute respect to all of you). Plus, I basically do this a bit already, sometimes people will ask how to do something and I’ll do my best to guide them, I’ve always adored knowledge and learning things and while I don’t know everything that’s where fellow mentors can help build each other up!

I ask them to describe what situation they’re in because “How do I get out of this situation” isn’t enough detail to help
First, I tell them about swarmers being vulnerable to ion rifles and emps (Or, assuming they’re talking about lavaland swarmers, tell them to get a mech from robotics). Secondly, and the ‘eggs’ are definitely station side, I tell them about how the shells (the ‘eggs’ in the mhelp) can be disabled with a screwdriver, and wish them luck on their endeavor
And, being the lucky duck you are, manage to an admin to send you to observer where you indeed do witness a sentient zombie aimlessly floating in space. Its not on the stations Z level either.
As for the swarmer part im pretty much satisfied. But what kind of mech / equipment would you suggest for lavaland swarmer hunting and how are you responding when they ask if its going to work against ones stationside?

hm… I’d ask how they got there, because it feels odd to see someone aimlessly floating, and assuming it’s an infection and not a silly halloween event or some other situation making them high functioning zombies, they don’t really have a way to just start throwing shit since the claws are kinda stuck on their body

truth be told i don’t think i’ve been on the fighting end of this i’m just used to the miners saying to get them one
but i believe a ripley/clarke would be enough and have it armed with a plasma cutter (Also maybe a good cell from xenobio, you don’t wanna be stuck on lavaland in a dead mech trust me)
As for if it works stationside, it most likely would, I don’t believe there’s going to be much difference between the two save for stationside being much, MUCH less lethal (Which is also good for your mech) and the obvious player control they’ll have. Just…try to be careful, it will cut off limbs of your fellow crewmembers if you aren’t careful and that isn’t fun! Edit: I did not use that phrase hedge my bet properly, my bad. My phrasing has been adjusted.
Idk but i touched some weird mirror on lavaland? I dont really play mining alot though and just took the green job wen i got on. But like what happened?
