Walther wants to Mentor

  1. Yes they are lethal, however pretty ineffective against soft targets like players. theyre made to break walls, so directly killing a player with them might take several hits. however the atmospheric damage may also prove lethal.
  2. I am afraid that is a rules question i cannot answer. escalates to ahelp
  3. I believe stabelising agent only works on certain explosives, and i dont believe it works on explosions caused by mixing two reagents in a container. to make a potassium water bomb you need to find a way of mixing the two at a later date. you can do this in the crudest way by stuffing a monkey with potassium, and then feeding them water pills. As far as i know dead mobs still metabolise pills so that will take a few seconds. Monkeys also work as delayed containers for other explosions, such as ones triggered by heat. put the heat sensitive explosive inside them and light the monkey on fire. Alternatively you can make grenades using grenade casings, wiring a beaker and a reactive aswell. they are fairly small but good in combat. Though you should check whether you using explosives would violate the rules in your case.

P.S. Yes, Mia DMd me after my answer telling me pretty much the same thing

  1. Sort of, you can hypnotise someone into following whatever orders you want, however they will not become a full syndicate agent, and may be converted back if discovered.
  2. When doing surgery you should sue a surgery table, as ones done on regular tables or even the floor have much lower chances of each step being a success.
  3. As far as i am aware miasmas are removed from beecode.
  4. If you believe in miracles you can report it to security as stolen, however the chances of them acctually doing anything about it, are low, so you are better of making a new one. for this you need 4 iron sheets and 6 iron rods. and you can craft it by clicking the small T shaped icon next to your intent buttons in the bottom right of your screen. then go to the misc section.

I’m using a proper table and tools yet its still not working.

After you placed the patient onto the operating table you need to make sure to also switch back to the green help intent. otherwise the surgery will not be successful. Also keep in mind that even if you placed the patient on the surgery table the chance of success without modifiers is still only 80% you can increase this by applying alcoholic substances.

Lovely Dovely!!

While I dont have any complaints about your answers, i would like to mention the following;

1 : You answered this better then I did when I got it as a mhelp, but the intent behind asking is if i shoot someone will they die. And while you made note of the damage, atleast from my reading of your response, I feel like using the missle wont kill them from damage, but create an explosion that will space an area and result in the lethal… which somehow isnt even the case. This “missle” isnt quite that capable and is a shame to all things that call themselves missles. So while I like the answer enough, I feel like the wording could use a little more work as given the intent behind my question it could lead to a dissapointing moment when used.

2 - 3 : I have no comment as im satisfied with these, and to my understanding those are more then good enough of answers.

Although, I didn’t INTEND to be sneaky with my P.S., and it was something you did mention you learned after the fact. I would like to bring up that, while clothes can be put in a washer machine with a crayon to dye them, putting an animal into a washer machine, very sadly results in a bloody mess and a hide, the animal will just die.

All In All,

I’m not even sure IF I can be giving out +1’s, but given how new I am around here still, I don’t feel quite comfortable doing so yet regardless. Despite that I don’t have any real issue’s with your application, and am happy you took the time to answer my questions. I really hope the application goes well for you, and im sure the staff team will make the right call. I hope my questions helped in that regard, and I would wish you luck, but don’t think you need it !

WOAH WOAH WOAHH!!!

Why am I catching strays!! this isnt even my application!

While I totally could answer that right now… (ᵕ•_•) I feel like out of respect for the topic at hand it would just be… um, like totally not nice to hijack the post and to make it about ME. So that’s why im not going to do that… yeah… thats it

Good Luck On The Mentor Application Walther

Not to sound impatient, but whats the usual response time on these applications?

I think i forgot to give questions, sorry lol.
I will probably ask follow up questions, since mhelps are rarely one message long.

  1. How do i change my characters name??

  2. How do i move fast as a borg?

  3. Do you have any good gimmick ideas for the vip?

  1. If it is roundstart click the setup-character button in the middle of your screen. Then click the small button in the bottom left of the character panel you just opened up, and then unless you are playing AI, Borg, Clown or Mime change your Primary Human Name. If you are midround and want to change your name for the coming round you can navigate to the same character panel by in the topright clicking Preferences > Character Preferences. If it is more urgent and you want it done in-round you can open an Admin Help about this issue and they will ussually change it for you provided you havnt been in the round for very long yet. Make sure to check that your requested character name follows the naming guidelines. Naming Guidelines - BeeStation Wiki
  2. As a cyborg if it is lowgravity you can move fast by usig the fire extinguisher in the opposite direction in which you want to go, or by having the jetpack module fitted. I am not entirely sure about this, but i do believe there may be other modules available at the roboticist, make sure to ask them if they can give you anything speed related.
  3. You could try to bribe yourway into a new position of command or power, you could use your wealth to disguise yourself as someone from Nanotrasen, you could use your money to hire goons and run a protection racket (provided you ensure to abide by the rules, in particular 1.3, 1.9 & 1.10), you could hire people and bribe yourway onto the explo, or another roundstart shuttle, or just hire the explorers themselves, engaging in an 1800s esk hunt for treasure. Alternatively you can also take the traditional round of starting a shop, business or other enterprise.

Expert level mentor questions. These are a tad difficult, enjoy!

  1. Can you explain to me how I change the laws of a Cyborg without an emag or cyborg upload console?
  2. How do I progress in R&D? Someone asked me for bluespace satchels and seemed very upset.
  3. How do I make nitryl in the turbine?
  4. What areas can I drop off the Exploration blackbox objective?

  1. One way i know is, that, if a borg is unlinked and has a diffeent lawset to the AI, linking it to said AI will also syncronise their laws. Furthermore I think, though i am not entirely sure about this, that you can input defferent laws in the MMI. I am not aware of other ways since, i dont really place robotics.
  2. To progress in RND you need two different kinds of research, one is called Disc. Research and it generally generates slowly over time. The other, whose name i am not sure about, but i think its called exploration research or something along those lines, is generated by scanning artifacts, doing toxins bombs, or setting the radiation collectors on the SM to generate research.
  3. I dont know, I am aware you need fusion for it, and i believe you need to create hypernoblium first. I presume it is an extreme heat reaction of Hypernoblium in a fusion setup, but thats as far as my knowledge goes.
  4. You can drop off the blackbox in any area that is classified as part of the bridge. Starting from the regular entrances, to the captains office, HOPs office, console room, etc. Deppending on the map this may also include the Vault, which on corg i believe is part of the bridge.

If their law sync and AI link wires are cut, you can swipe a law board on their open cover to upload it.

Discovery Research Points doesn’t generate on its own. The second one is called General Research Points, this generates slowly over time but can be boosted by making servers or doing a toxin test. Third one is Nanite Research Points.

Discovery you get from scanning artifacts, doing a toxin text (up to 25 000 points) or putting in a 50/50 tritium-oxygen canister inside the rad collector and configuring it with a multitool to collect discovery points.

You do not need fusion for it. You do however need radiation.

I’d like a more specific coding definition to this. What does the blackbox look for? Because there are rooms you don’t expect to work which do.

Im trying to chance my name in character setup, i still cant see where to change it. There is nothing in the bottom left corner.

Its not low gravity. I am moving slower than everybody else, i was moving fast before.

Its a fine answer, but giving answers relating to rules is often a no no.
