Incident Description:
As i assaulted captain with sleeping carp, he started to attack me with whip, what lead to my death. I did not attack him nor provoked him. Security was present.
Additional Information: Also it seems that Rain Soho was deputised but had no indicators of being deputy. Isnt it against rules? How am i supposed to know who am i allowed to kill and who not?

You are nearly always allowed to defend yourself with lethal force and eliminate witnesses as an antagonist:

Antagonist escalation: Antagonists may kill their objective targets, players interfering with the completion objectives and witness to their crimes even if the other player does not initiate conflict. For any conflicts unrelated to objectives, antagonists follow Lavaland escalation

Lavaland escalation: Means you can skip any conflict in which you are not the aggressor immediately to step 5. It is still generally bad taste to immediately kill someone that shoved you once, and you may be told it’s excessive if you’re found to be baiting people so you can kill them.

1. Witnesses who are actively reporting your actions or location may be eliminated through low-impact means without punishment, if you act immediately
2. Eliminating witnesses through low-impact means is allowed when the action being witnessed is in a low-traffic area.

Just don’t be a dick about it and try to make it a complete round removal - kill a witness to deal with them, not to completely prevent them from playing from that point forward.

Okay, so its about one minute until the end of the game, security is going gung-ho on the shuttle and hitting heaps of crew in the crossfire trying to get you.

In steps the curator, who trips you twice before accosting security.

Considering it was one minute to the end, and he wasn’t making any active attempts to hunt or chase you, but tripped you in a moment of opportunity, I’m going to call this fair enough. Thanks for the report.
