Admin Conduct Broken: 2.1 General Behaviour.
“ Maintain a decent standard of professionalism when operating within the community. Insulting, harassing, or intentionally targeting anyone in our community is not tolerated.”
Incident Description:
TsunamiAnt made a joke post on the forum with the clear intent to mock my report on RukoFamicom.
They used a direct quote from my report and suggested that people who say this should have a gun to their head. The post itself is clearly an attempt to diminish my concerns, mock me and poke fun at my report. Suggesting I should have a gun to my head is way over the line.

For what it’s worth, and if you’ll believe me or not, If i used a direct quote that was not intentional. I skipped over that report very very roughly.
You are reading too much into this, I was poking fun at things I’ve seen quite a bit now from many different sources, that were well established to be silly.
Any personal attack on you was not intended. I genuinely did not think about you at all while writing about any of this, though maybe that is also rude to say.
Its obviously very much so a reference directly to my post, there is no question.
To even pretend like its not reference to things I directly said in my report is actually just an insult to the intelligence of everyone who read that.
Could just be the fact they read a report regarding a nightmare so it would be a likely reason for it to be first. Besides tsu has always been like this with the term wordlessly killed
Tsu is far from alone in that regard, “wordlessly” is the modern day “4noraisin” with regard to antagonists especially. Antagonists are not required or expected via rules to announce their intentions before attacking someone they have justifiably chosen to attack. Tacking “wordlessly” onto a complaint actively takes credibility away from the complaint because the person complaining is adding invented, extraneous conditions that don’t exist within server rules or expectations.
It’s a term widely disliked and often laughed at when used unironically within the community as a whole well before the recent report. Some examples taken just by searching discord for “wordlessly”
I can’t say one way or another what the intent was going into the making of the reported thread, but I can say at least that laughing it off when someone uses the term “wordlessly” unironically is not targeted or new thing. It happens often when players handle death really poorly instead of taking it in stride as being a major part of the game to die unexpectedly and sometimes horrifically.
It’s especially so when the person who was “wordlessly” killed is actually the person who attacked first such as this that I posted in the salt mines weeks after the complaint was made:
When complaints like this happen, we can only laugh it off amongst ourselves and hope the player who is complaining realizes that they were the one being silly to complain about being killed when they directly started the fight that killed them. Usually they are simply too upset at the moment to realize or remember properly that this was the case.
I tried my best to be as objective in this post as possible, and this is not intended in any way to insult you for what you said prior to opening a report against me - only to point out that it’s not a new or unusual type of response and may not have been a reference to your incident specifically. 4noraisins are an actual item in the game because of this sort of thing, and even our github repo has the ided flag to poke fun at people who are just doing something because they’re upset about dying.
I really have nothing much else to say than what I said before, but I’ll restate just to make sure, 100% honestly:
I will admit your thread very likely put the idea in my head.
But I wasn’t specifically targeting you. By the time I was making the thread, and especially by the time I jokingly suggested hitmen, your thread had entirely left my mind.
To me, the entirety of the time, it was solely just a shitpost. Nothing more.
Certainly not, as you put it, some kind of “retribution” for your report on ruko. Ruko has had enough reports, he doesn’t need me to defend him.
None of this excuses an admin to say that people who say a certain thing should have an assassin at their house.
Neither of you addressed that at all.
It’s blatantly obvious that post was made to mock me and I don’t see how you can honestly deny that in good faith.
And then to suggest violence in that post takes it outside of the realm of just poking fun.
I also received a lot of gripe in discord for the report I made on Ruko, so feeling like the admin team is also piling onto this is really awful.
I don’t believe I ever called it “retribution” I called it a mock post, which it is. And I think you saying that the thread had “left your mind” is both plain bullshit and also irrelevant.
You admit the admin report spurred you to make your mock post, which indicates your intent very much was to mock me.
I still, think this in of itself is fucked up for an admin to do, but again wouldn’t have caused me to write a report. I took a lot more mocking than just your post yesterday.
Admins are held to a higher standard from the rest of the community, and essentially being the WORST offender of the harassment I received yesterday, while trying to lie and say it wasn’t intended as so, shows that you think you shouldn’t be held to that standard.
This whole report is someone who takes stuff literally vs someone who takes stuff lightly. There are no people on the wrong or right here, just people. There is nothing to punish because you can’t really argue who’s in the right and who’s in the wrong here, you can side with Tsunami and say what you want about Squk’s reaction or side with Squk and say it was bad taste but at the end of the day each person feels and does stuff a different way, and no one here is genuinely crossing the borders of what should be tolerated (slurs, hate speech, etc.) and each person’s viewpoint and experience varies, this is a nothing discussion.
Edit: Nvm I just saw the whole context and yeah I can see why Squk feels that way way more , it is in poor taste, but if Tsunami said he didn’t do it on purpose so at this point if Tsunami does not want Squk personally assasinated what’s the point of this discussion? Confussion occurs often on this life
Admins are held to a higher standard than the regular player base, and Tsunami’s actions have fallen well below that standard when they made that post with the intention of mocking the admin report I made on Ruko.
Obviously it was a joke, I’m not beyond seeing that. But it was a joke that was made in bad taste, by an admin who should know better than to try and stir up more shit.
On account of me feeling as though everyone’s chimed in who needs to, and the only thing left of value to be added here will be Headmin consideration. Till then, or otherwise deemed a good time the thread is hereby locked
Alright. This is not a very complex report so I will keep it reasonably short.
The timing of the thread as well as it’s wording, did seem very pointed. Looking at the discussions here, as well as in some admin channels led us to believe that this was not directed at you specifically.
But as Tsunami themselves said, the report might have influenced them subconsciously. But the entire “wordlessly” topic was already being discussed at length in general chat for example, which probably played a role there.
In the end though we agree with the report. We hold our admins to high standards. Even if you had not opened the ruko forum report, the thread itself was already questionable, and the hitman comment was simply too much.
There is a certain level of respect we expect our admins to have towards any player and the playerbase as a whole, no matter the potential circumstances.
But we are all humans, it can happen that you get tunnel visioned and take a joke too far.
We do not believe Tsunami had any malicious intentions towards you or towards other players.
We have talked to @TsunamiAnt and discussed what they can do better in the future.
Thank you for the report and apologies for any inconveniences.
