**Appeal Reason:**I feel like it was a bit harsh to permaban me for “griefing” when I really didn’t… grief? I uploaded HOGAN laws to the AI and the AI told all borgs to go to sec and “liberate the armory”. I got on one of the borgs, and there was a warden trying to stop us. I cuffed the warden to a chair and took away their stuff and put it on a table next to them. I was then teleported to CentComm jail. I was told I was getting a 3-day ban, and I jokingly responded with “All I was doing was being a real American, brother” and other fitting things to the situation, like the lyrics. I was then permabanned five minutes later. I feel like what I did (stripping a warden who was trying to arrest me and putting their stuff on a table right beside where they were buckled to a chair) was really not permaban-worthy.

Additional Information: I think the funniest part about this is that I’m not even from America. I’m Canadian, which just makes this permaban sillier.

While I don’t fully support a permanent ban for this, but I’m going to cover point by point what led to it so there’s not a misunderstanding between us.

1.)

Your current account is already confirmed to be at least your third account, potentially more.

Nobody new to the game says this with less than an hour of playtime, and people generally only make new accounts in order to ban evade or note evade. We don’t act on that alone, but considering one of the alts is permanently banned on fulp it’s highly likely that this is why you make alts.

2.)

You caused such problems within the first hour of play that you received this as your first note

Brand new 1hr account made today. Pretty hostile and unreasonable in tickets, keep an eye on them.

You went on to cause problems six more times, with the sixth being a permanent ban from our RP server within your first twenty hours of play. This means you have six times the note-per-hour for players we usually start moving toward permanent bans for

Permanently banned on Fulp for WGW - after being muted for it, you thought it was a good idea to just start spamming it in ahelps. Additionally you’ve been banned for trying to meme on TGMC with horrible escalation (also something you’ve done here) and just seem to do your own thing wthout regard for server rules wherever you go.

Put all of this together, and think of yourself as an admin of an RP server. You try to tell someone with an already horrible profile/record that they’re doing something wrong and are going to be banned for it. They are suspected of ban evasion and being a lighter form of griefer. They respond to the ahelp by meming it up and acting like they didn’t do anything wrong.

TL;DR

You fully admit to doing several things that you shouldn’t on MRP and the meat of your appeal ultimately boils down to “This isn’t worth a perma”. I think the ban should stay until you’ve somehow proven you actually intend to follow the server rules, your appeal is hardly an appeal at all given the record of disregard for rules.

Nobody should intentionally cause problems they expect to be punished for, and then think “it was worth it” when they get punished.

Not my third, it was my second account. I had to stop using my first account since there were people who would metagrudge my first ckey on a different server I played on. What do you mean “confirmed third”?

Jobbanned for three days, not full-banned. A synth killed Ian and I killed the synth. I thought the synth was valid, but the rules were different from normal TG.

How do you evade a ban on BYOND? They’re IPbans, not account bans. You can’t make an alt and log into a server you’re banned on.

I honestly don’t recall getting any notes (which may be due to my terrible recollection of anything, ever) and I especially don’t remember being unreasonable about any I may have gotten.

I don’t really see how this relates at all to my ban. If I was just a griefer who wanted to spam WGW I probably would’ve done it. I wouldn’t actually play the game for twenty hours before getting myself banned.

Maybe you should’ve said this in the ban reasoning?

You have only connected here with two accounts, but you were already experienced with the game on your “first” account by the time it cropped up. This is proof of nothing, but extremely suspect when combined with your behavior and disregard for rules on not just our server but others - that’s why I brought up issues on other servers as well.

If an admin speaks to you about a problem you’ve caused, it’s going to be added to your account as a note so we can keep record of how often players are causing issues and what severity the issues are. You have caused many low-key issues in a relatively short frame of time. Remember trying to steal someone’s kidney for no reason? That one is a note. Toolboxing someone to death because they shoved you? It’s a note. Playing borg and encouraging harm? Note.

Keeping in line with my opening and closing statements - all I want is some attempt to actually learn and follow our rules. You came to the RP server and have been treating it like it’s LRP / NRP and refuse to take ahelps seriously. If you don’t know how to role-play, you don’t belong on an RP server in the long-term.

As ruko has already pointed out the reason it was a perma is due to the large amount of issues you’ve caused in such a short time. Combined with the fact that you didn’t seem to take the ticket all that seriously.
Subverting the borgs against security and then stealing all of the wardens stuff and locking him in a room as a non-antag is pretty bad.

Do you understand the issue with what you did?

i didn’t steal the warden’s stuff, i took it off of them and put it near them. i also didn’t get the borgs to go against sec, i joined the borgs when they went to sec. it wasn’t my idea to storm sec

There’s nowhere for this appeal to go by this point, I rescind my previous statements - keep the permaban.

4. You Must Roleplay

Your character is a grown adult working on a research station for a major company. You are a professional. Act like it.

Respect space law and standard operating procedures. Committing minor crimes is justifiable through roleplay, but major crimes should typically be avoided.

5. Don’t Self Antag

Self-antagging includes (but is not limited to) damaging the station, attacking other players without reason, and subverting the established chain of command as a non-antagonist role.

I see no reason to believe you’ll follow the rules, denying this for the time being.
