Borgs synched to a malf AI or emagged to have a Syndicate slant should get the highlighted Syndicate code words.
I had a syndie-clown round ruined yesterday when I got jumped by several borgs after the malf AI went loud.

if the AI hears your codewords and doesn’t want their borgs to kill you, they should tell their borgs.
Also, if an emagged borg gets deconstructed, they will not magically forget the codewords I believe.
They jumped me and roofied me. I whispered a few of them at the one that pulled me to the borging machine but it didn’t understand why I was saying those words. I had been more an annoyance than clearly working against the station. I only knew AI was malf because of ghost knowledge. My character would only have known when he was injected by a mediborg with sleepy juice and then dragged towards science by a mining borg.
When multiple sentient intelligences are attempting to bring you down, the entity they report to is probably the boss.
Sounds like a good way to balance the risk and reward of Emaging a borg.
You get AA and more than lethal, law bound loyal slave, now you have to make sure they don’t wind with their cover blown or everybody is going to know.

This is a detriment to entirely unrelated traitors though? Borgs already know who emagged them if they get deconstructed, I believe? Code words just fuck over everyone else.
add mailbombs as a syndie item worth the same/slightly less than a pda bomb

For traitors, their advantage lies in two things.
- their strong gear, that exploits weaknesses of general Station crew gear.
- their secrecy and covert deployment, being a threat the crew doesn’t know and thusly cannot act against.
Advantage 1. is lost if the crew steals their toys (unlikely) or uses their specialized gear to counter it (circumstantial)
Advantage 2. is lost when an explicit act of treachery is witnessed, widely reported and then authenticated, while that happens often enough, its usually the one and only way.
now what I find really fucking cheesy is that traitors, first thing they do round start is more often than not, just type up a phrase to their codewords into with some of course obfuscating context over open coms to begin co-ordinating.
you’re suposed to be sneaky conspiring with your fellow agents, if one of them decides not to take care of their metal murder pet, then take it up with them.
you can select the Mail color and write the name on it.
Exclusive to Cargo-tators maybe? that might make too small a pool of likely suspects tho.
cargo exclusive would relegate it to unused because its not as powerful as his grace or clown car
Cooperation is 100% optional, you can have kill objectives against other tators.

After I was converted, I LOOC told the borg that dragged me that I was Syndicate and he apologized and said he didn’t know.
I’m just asking for information to be distributed so that everyone acting on behalf of tators can know what fellow tators are about.
So what you’re saying is a circumstantial means of subtly providing proof you are a traitor isn’t even strictly necessary for playing tot? gosh, I don’t see any reason as to why letting emag’d or syndie-mmi borgs know code phrases now.
I’ve done all of these and I didn’t need a trait to help me as I was new and can’t always handle the stress. Also, do I take it that you dislike Millii because she isn’t 100% perfect at their job? Sorry but your age old comment bothered me a lil’ bit.
I’ve been doing ALOT of solo explorer and BOTH TIMES I’ve gotten my ass seriously beaten by spiders cause my pistol swapped to rock cutting mode.
I say either getting rid of the two distinct modes or making a distinct sprite for showing what mode it is on would be great because that thing swaps between modes so inconspicuously when handling it in your inventory or putting it in a charger it’s a god damn hazzard.
