Shion and her long long meat hook

In-game report:

CKEY: Calicomp

Offender’s In-Game Name: Shion Rosenthal

Date (YYYY-MM-DD): 2026

Round Number: 55283

Rules Broken: 2

Incident Description:

As i and my BB assault brig by bombing armory and entering it on red alert, Shion (who was an hour ago assaulted by both of us due to being priority directive target) opens fire on us when we attack the warden and proceeds to use meat hook to fight antagonists with warden present in the fight. I’m asking admins to check this incident and see if its okay for a atmos technician carry around meat hook nonstop (and maybe some sort of firearm i’m not sure) then assault antags when they didnt target her at the moment. Are atmos technicians - civilians supposed to be eager to assault someone?

Additional Information: Asimov guardian cyborg proceeds to kill me - human after that, but this issue was resolved by moderator. What pisses me off after that is that they refuse to follow my orders and proceed to hunt down my escaped BB when i was suffocating and in danger instead of ensuring my safety. One more proof that guardian cyborgs dont act as guardians and instead put validhunting as their top priority instead of their laws.

the meat hook was a gift from the miner, after they’d heard me over the radio after the two back-to-back murder attempts

i’d also picked up the pistol INS had left on the floor in the hallway (how nobody had picked it up, I have no clue)

the fight broke out while i was in the brig after they’d called for engi to help fix the breaches.

also i was a station engineer, not an atmos tech, albeit i dont think it really matters for this report.

They had justifiable reason to be prepared for further attack.

They were already present at the scene of the attack when it occured. All parties already present when an attack or fight occurs are allowed to involve themselves and/or defend their co-workers.

This seems like a particularly good opportunity to point out / remind anyone reading this that R2 was revised somewhat recently. It is no longer against the rules to act like a hero as long as you were already present when the attack took place. The rule stating that most crew should always prioritize their own life has been removed:

Broadly speaking hunting someone down is still bad in many non-security circumstances, but not repelling someone who attacks a location/department you are currently occupying even if you aren’t security.

Thanks for taking the time to make the report, not too long ago this may have been investigated in more depth or even accepted, but this is no longer considered to be questionable behavior.
