Part of Admin/Mentor Conduct Broken (if relevant): This isj ust a ruling disagreement
Incident Description: Ruko marked as IC an officer saying the following stuff:
Carrying around a bloody chainsaw on green alert
Completely unprovocked telling me after I told him that a dude had hit me that he didnt care, that my job as clown is to be a meat bag, and that he had killed crewmembers
Being super LRP on chat to the point where he was obviously insulting me and not my character
Putting a hit on my head? Like saying on comms several times that people could kill me without any repercussion and putting ah it on my head and encouraging them to do so. . All of that cuz I got his chainsaw after a slip because he said that mean stuff to me.
I think this stuff is LRP and borderline not so excellent, but maybe I am wrong so that’s why I open a ruling disagreement.
Lmao, what I said iirc is that the dude started insulting me unprovoked, which is true, he was the one who started treating me like shit out of the blue and the one who started the conflict. They way you worded that makes it seem like I was the one who started this conflict with him. It gives me the impression that you came into the game, read the general concept of what happened and hit the ic issue button.
Ok a couple questions now:
How is an officer carrying around a bloody chainsaw on green alert not powergaming? Did you even see if what they said about them killing crewmembers was true or did you just went naaaaaah fam IC issue lmaooo?
How is an officer encouraging people to kill another person several times over comms not breaking security sop and the rules?
Did you even read the clearly OOC insults on chat?
Bruh I’d rather not have you taking any ahelp from me again, I think I prefer making a player report and having someone else pay attention to what I say more than 2 seconds, cuz if you say that I was the one who started the conclifct by “slipping the officer” you either hate my ass or you didn’t put the attention to the case it needed, which wasn’t a lot, just the bare minimun.
I’m exercising the highlighted portion here because:
There is no answer I can give you that will possibly satisfy you, and after both of the previous major interactions only served to convince you that I’m out to get you, instead of convincing you that I’m willing to pour my heart and soul into helping you as a long-time player, the most you’re going to get out of me is the standard response.
This incident escalated on both sides. I did not see what you reported as an issue, just another case of victim mentality.
Headmins will look into this issue further. I will not. This is effectively the forum report you wanted it to be, and any future ticket can be as well.
Sounds to me like the guy was targeting another player and trying to end their round without responsibility if he was really trying to convince people to go after them. However I was not here for context.
However, to Varo: this thread is a mistake in my eyes. You seem to care more about this player than Ruko’s decisions. You said earlier that a player report would have been a better call and you were right.
Command was nonexistant to set an alert and we had hostile revenant
Completely unprovocked telling me after I told him that a dude had hit me that he didnt care, that my job as clown is to be a meat bag, and that he had killed crewmembers
???, only thing you did is start pushing random guy that was talking with me. the other guy didn’t even acknowledge you afaik
Being super LRP on chat to the point where he was obviously insulting me and not my character
i didn’t even know or care you play that clown
I think this stuff is LRP and borderline not so excellent
because just pushing random guy that did nothing and slipping armed security guard is roleplay
he was the one who started treating me like shit out of the blue
you act like a shitter, you get treated like a shitter
and the one who started the conflict
you were the one that initiated conflict by pushing the guy
Did you even see if what they said about them killing crewmembers
I did kill a crewmate with a chainsaw, but it was when that crewmate tried to murder me and i didn’t have any tools charged (because of the same guy)
Did you even read the clearly OOC insults on chat?
Because I surely knew you play some random clown
you either hate my ass
you keep saying everyone hates your ass, maybe theres a reason for that?
I dont understand, this is a Ruling Disagreement, I don’t agree with Ruko’s say on this so I want a second opinion
They kept harrasing me
We had had a conflict before between us thats why I shoved him
Ad hominem
Yeah going from shoving someone once to pour your heart out insulting someone is what normal people do
Weird thing to do to a crewmember then, saying (iirc) that you dont care and have killed people, which just screams “I will kill you”
I’m not saying you did that because you knew who I was behind the screen, I didn’t think that at any point, what I do think is that you were salting OOC in IC
Alrighty, apologies for taking so long to resolve this report.
The situation starts with the clown trying to report a guy that has sleeping carp and the security officer in question is in the theatre. In the end the clown slips the security officer and steals his chainsaw.
Up to this point this is pretty much all IC. While a bit unprofessional from the security officer, this is what you would report to the HOS or higher up for example.
Afterwards the security officer reminds people three times over the course of the next 15ish minutes that there is a bounty on the clown’s head, that they do not break any laws by murdering the clown etc.
I did not see any evidence of this.
As I said above already if you look purely at the situation the ahelp was made about then this is IC. They talked a bit of trash, you slipped and stole their chainsaw and they’re now mad about it.
Understandable and pretty much purely IC.
Now, continuing to call for the murder of the clown over and over again on comms, while also adding that murdering the clown wouldn’t break any laws, is a bit much.
It’s fine to play a bit of a loose cannon security officer, but you still need to act somewhat professional.
I pretty much agree with the decision taken here by the admin. This is mainly an IC situation but I would’ve told the sec-officer to tone it down a bit and to act more professional in the future.
