Murderbone is killing multiple people without a reason*.
Isolated killings are allright though (Kill the Felinid For being a degenerate).
Reasons to kill are but not limited to: They are a threat to you, They have something you want, They are your target, They are a witness, They have impeded your objectives and last but not least they are Sec/command.
Mess with antag? Antag can kill you anytime they see you now.
I definitely have mixed feelings about this since it’s a multifaceted issue. I tend to latejoin and fill needed roles and I’ve had several rounds during the reduced population rounds where ENTIRE DEPARTMENTS didn’t even have a single person working them roundstart. It also doesn’t help that latejoining also restricts antagonism options both as an antagonist or a target so doing so ends up being discouraged.
On the RP aspect, I do agree that in general more people = better when it comes to RP opportunities, but regrettably Beestation’s mentality is NOT one of RP and the “MRP” label tends to be barely more than LRP at best in most cases and the fact that the station is marketed for beginners makes it even harder to go around bwoinking people for not doing enough of it.
While the latter can be nudged slowly through admin intervention, the former is going to continue being an issue. I’ve seen servers with much lower pop be able to sacrifice some of their time to staff multiple departments well enough to keep the station running but this doesn’t seem to be a common mentality here.
