Those are my dedicated in-game voice and Discord voice chat push-to-talk buttons.

Some old mice that I have don’t have these buttons though.

Wish the game supported them, I’d bind one to toggle walk

I like to bind using items/parrying to those buttons in action games.

if a game lets me bind them i use them for lots of things:
pick up, melee, voice chat, leaning, zooming in

I’ve set up xmbc so that the buttons point and grab, respectively.

It’s Byond issue. Not sure when the engine will support it.

I wish I had some of those bindable buttons.

I have a logitech g300s so my 4th trough 7th mouse buttons are actually usable with my index and middle finger.
But yeah I use it. For things like undo/redos, copy and paste, and with the use of the different profiles thing I also use them to change my dpi if needed.

Based on all of that I can gather you’re a giant absolute nerd

My fellow ss13 enjoyer, we’re all here on an obscure videogame’s forum, on a poll thread about mouse buttons about 10 posts down.

NGL i didnt even know that was a thing untill now

I use them for system volume.

Goddamn really? They are so good for that. They work almost universally on all programs that have a ‘history’ windows file explorer, browsers, documents, VSC.
Also while im here, you guys all know about the middle mouse button click uses right?
Middle mouse click on a link to open in new tab, middle mouse click on a tab to close it.
Again this works on almost every program with ‘tabs’

[CTRL] + [W] gang, best gang!!

i think the only time i’ve used them consistently was when i bound dragon shouts to them on skyrim

i think i bound them to the numpad keys to target limbs one time with my mouse program but it was too annoying to be practical in my experience

I absolutely refuse that title with all my might

So you’re on an obscure videogame’s forum, on a poll thread about mouse buttons about 20 posts down and you don’t even enjoy the game?
And I’M the nerd?

Also, I was reminded earlier, but funnily enough I don’t even use mouse3 (mouse-wheel down) to swap hands, I just hit X.
