the walls just look shitty like that. for example, the air alarms that are placed on the north side of the wall look like they are between the wall and the ceiling. visually, its terrible. also doors that are placed vertically look terrible in that image. top down is better than shitty pseudo 3D. anything that gets put on walls would need new sprites probably to prevent it from looking terrible. What about posters that are placed on the north side of a wall? those would look awful no matter what. Air alarms would need a new sprite to look good on vertical walls, instead of a simple rotation. that goes for EVERYTHING on vertical walls. Posts, signs, cameras, alarms, anything that goes on walls. if you just keep the rotation, it will break the pseudo 3D illusion and make the whole thing just look bad.

The windows on this are not very good, though i like it that its colorful. The actual walls and doors look relatively nice, i dont see any reasons to be afraid of them. Though im clearly in the minority (as far as the forum folks go).

I have heared “beestation is becoming x” so many times it’s sad how you can’t come up with anything new.
Imo if someone wants to change the walls, they should keep the current perspective but instead add stuff like triangles to walls and other shapes, adding some sort of wall decorations some sort of machinery for fluff without any purpose would add a nice feeling to the game.
On other hand changing the perspective like other servers is pure laziness and fucks the game completely changing it, but i said that already
