Curious if anyone plays or knows of any other roleplay-friendly multiplayer games and how they stack up.
Ones I’m aware of:
- GTA V roleplay servers e.g. NoPixel, EclipseRP, others on FiveM. Adds additional features such as various jobs, reworks existing mechanics like hacking cars or robbery, survival mechanics like hunger, etc. Super popular on Twitch.
- Minecraft roleplay servers e.g. Roleplay Hub. This particular one has a school-based server, a fantasy-based one and a sandbox one. Haven’t looked into what mods or new mechanics this server adds. Not sure what other RP servers are popular.
- Garry’s Mod servers e.g. DarkRP, StarWarsRP, SCRP, HogwartsRP-based servers. DarkRP is FOSS and includes various jobs, haven’t looked into the others.
