Ban Reason: Beat a guy to death who took my weapon but then dropped it. He claims that he never stole it. Assaulting a miner during my ticket process.

Appeal Reason: I believe that a 7 day ban is unfair and while I completely agree that my actions deserved a punishment I don’t believe that they warranted a 7 day ban. Its very possible that he was simply trying to give my gun back but someone else had assaulted me and taken my gun so I assumed it was him. I didn’t use the appropriate amount of force and I didn’t realize that my krav maga gloves weren’t activated. My intent was not to kill but I realize now that I totally went overboard.The miner was carrying around an illegal item(maybe it wasn’t illegal I just remember it was some alien technology) so I decided to stun him with my baton, but before I was able to take him into custody I was banned.

Additional Information: I have already gone through 5 days of this temporary ban.

Hey, banning admin here! Let me clear some stuff up since it seems like you forgot to add the whole banning reason, for clarity purposes:

Banned from the server for 1 week - As Warden, beat a medical doctor to death, arguing that the doctor attacked him (False), that he stole his gun (which the doctor never fired and, according to him, dropped it as soon as he helped Noobfroob up) and claims that “There are two sides to this story and you refuse to believe anything I say, you are terrible at your job” despite logs explicitly showing how he was beaten to death by a traitor with Carp. Also proceeded to attack a miner for no reason mid-ticket. Appeal on forums.

Now time to go detail-by-detail so I can tell you why it was a 7 days ban and why you’re staying banned for 7 days.

  • AFAIK the miner had, at first glance, either the Hierophant staff (Which is a trophy item that he has all the rights to have) or a Proto-kinetic Crusher (A mining tool, which i’m 99% sure he had if my memory ain’t faltering), while the Miner was carrying a lavaland chest with loot he had obtained. None of those are a reason to arrest someone for.
  • You beat the guy to death after helping you get up, never shot the weapons, and you constantly STOMPED on the medical doctor, which means that you had HARM INTENT ON and stomped his shit in until he died.
    Not only was he completely the OPPOSITE of the guy that killed you (Your killer was an assistant that ate a black crayon, hence the darkened shade, whereas the doctor was dressed in clear white medical clothing), your killer had Carp, which he could’ve used to deflect your laser shots, and you could’ve even ARRESTED THE DOCTOR instead of beating his head to a pulp.

Also the fact you constantly lied about what the logs from 3 people in total (your killer, the doctor and you) told me and just constantly told me that I was doing a terrible job won’t help your case.

Hey Noobfroob,

Based on the ban that Ruediger has laid down, I do feel it was needed.

  • You knocked the dude down to -137 health, that’s pretty much leaving him at the brink of life/death.

Major overescalation is what I can see based on what Rue has pulled up.

I’d say let the ban stick and learn from your mistakes, it’s only 2 days.

I mean 0 HP is soft crit and anything below -100 is dead so he beat a dead horse quite literally.

According to all the logs, I fully support Rue’s decision. This was extreme overescalation, and a week ban seems reasonable to me. I don’t really see how you could mistake someone in bright white clothing for someone who literally ate a crayon and was hued dark. Stealing someone’s weapon and then immediately returning it does NOT seem like something that should be arrested for, let alone summarily executed for, as they could have done it accidentally while trying to get you up or to keep the gun safe for you. All in all, I support the ban.

Although I agree with my ban I would like to point out that the guy that killed me was not the one who stole my gun, nor was he the one that I was going after. I was knocked over by someone else and had my gun taken from me. The person who pushed me over was wearing the same doctors coat as the man that I pummeled to death. In the confusion I mistook the player who took my gun for the player that knocked me over. The person who had killed me was not the person who pushed me over.

I know, and that’s why when I told you that it wasn’t him and that the guy even helped you up, you killed him for no reason.

Hell, even if the guy that pummeled you to death was CONVENIENTLY wearing a doctor’s coat or the paramedic jacket, that doesn’t mean you can just beat the living hell out of anyone wearing said thing.

And you ended up beating them to -137 HP instead of arresting them.
