If SS13 magically got a boost in popularity to at least 20k concurrent players, and everone got more servers to accommodate with that, would you like that or do you enjoy the more niche experience?

Depends on the type of player. If they’re mostly underage shitters then it’s probably worse for the game as a whole ö.
Even if they’re mostly shitters, a few good ones will stick around and the game will be better off a while afterwards.
