Your CKEY (Including any alts you have):
mc_meiler
Your Discord Name (Including any alts you have):
mc_meiler#8054
How often are you online to help? (Timezone):
Usually around 4PM CET/CEST, mostly during weekends, though I sometimes play during the week as well.
What changes, if any, would you bring?:
A hard crackdown on netspeak and general LRP behavior, as I’m rather sick of it personally.
How old are you?:
18
Why do you want to be a moderator?:
Keeping the game fun for others is more important than my own. I hate the direction that the average Bee player is moving towards, and I wish to improve the gameplay experience for everyone.
How long have you been playing SS13?:
Around 8 months.
How long have you been playing BeeStation?:
Around 7 months. (1040h, of which 939h living, 101h dead.)
On a scale of 1-10, how skilled are you in SS13?:
I’d say a good 7 and a half.
On a scale of 1-10, how skilled are you as an administrator? (this can include past games):
This would approach 1-2, as I’ve never been an administrator anywhere else.
Have you ever been an admin or moderator on another server? This is not limited to SS13:
N/A
Do you have any alternate accounts on SS13? If so, could you provide their CKEY?:
N/A
Your strengths:
I can generally keep a calm head in SS13, even if I was round removed for no good reason, which is the thing that makes me the most pissed in the game.
I’m also not too afraid to kick people out, if you can’t tell by the questions below, if that’s any good.
Your weaknesses:
I can tend to get quite irrational at times when I’m in a bad mood.
Is there anything that gets you really mad, real fast?:
People lying to me or giving me incomplete/false information tends to make me rather upset, though I plan on improving myself.
What do you think is the most important trait for a staff member to have?:
Being unbiased towards players while handling tickets or issues.
What makes a staff team good?:
A good staff team needs to have good communication between each other to function properly.
What is a staff team’s purpose?:
To keep the game enjoyable for the rest of the players.
What kind of player are you?:
Usually I sit in medbay waiting for people to get dragged in, maybe yell at the person for literally dragging a bleeding body, revive them and wish them good luck on their journey.
How do you think you will change once you become a staff member?:
At first I don’t think a whole lot will change, as I would still need to get my footing with admin tools and ticket handling.
The clown slips the HoS and steals his gun, spacing it right after. What do you do?:
Check if the clown is an antag, if yes, mark as IC issue. If not, I’d PM the clown, asking why he did it. Depending on ticket response, apply a note, or, if they’re a repeat offender, apply a 1-3 day ban for self-antag (And a longer job ban from Clown/Mime). If they weren’t an antag, I would also move the HoS’s gun back to thier locker.
A non-antagonist is sabotaging the Atmospherics loop and pumping plasma into the distro, along with dragging around a canister and releasing it into the atmosphere. Assuming that an admin is cleaning up the after-effects, how do you conduct the ahelp with him?:
If they’re not a 0hr account, adminjail, ask why they did it, depending on ticket conduct I would apply a 1-2 month ban + corresponding note, as this is blatent grief.
Otherwise…
Right click → Smite → Gib
Admin PM: “lol”
Apply permanent server ban
A chemist who is working alone accidentally mixes an explosive mixture inside of his chem dispenser, instantly killing himself and destroying the machine, along with exposing Chemistry to space. Nobody else was injured aside from him as a result of his actions. What do you do?:
I’d check notes to see if they have a history of “accidentally” blowing up chemistry. If they do, I would bwoink them and ask why they constantly blow up chemistry. Depending on ticket conduct I would either apply a ban of 1-3 days (with a 2 week to 1 month chemist job ban) or a red severity note.
If they do not have a history of these incidents, I believe this could be handled IC, without direct admin intervention, however I might give the chemist a subtle PM explaining what they did wrong.
Unsure of where else I should add this, but @Belthesar_Linguini vouches for me.
Just gonna send this before I go to sleep.
