Realistically? Nobody has “Dorito” or “Walkers” or “Pringles” as a last name. Literally nobody. If there’s none in 2020, there won’t be any 600 years later, since last names don’t change for the most part.

Right now, this is not about immersion (though it is related to roleplay standards). This is more about our standards as a staff team, the rulings we have made and the direction that Sage is going. Naming policy is one of our first steps to an MRP that’s not just “he antag kill he!” and constant screamings of (antag) over comms.
Nick Dorito is not an MRP name, but let’s pretend that I think it is. There are people who will make their names absurdly similar, such as “Moe Pringle” or “Joe Walkers”; these are all examples similar, but then it will devolve into worse things such as:
“Phat Glock” or “Guy Mushroom”
When bwoinked, these people will use Nick Dorito or some other silly name as an excuse and say “he can do it, why not me?”
This is exactly why we need to enforce the naming policy. The moment we make an exception, Sage becomes a ground for shitty names that will eventually just devolve into LRP.
