Kate Garrison is your typical human white female from a privileged family.
She has extensive military and medical background together with some academic achievements but because of her personality she has a hard time holding a high ranking position.
Today she usually bounces between security and medical jobs at nanotrasen.
Even with all of that, Kate Garrison will always take pride in her job but she is not a loyalist like the rest of her colleagues and old friends are which will sometimes get her working for the syndicate as a side gig.
A lot of the syndicate corporations are desperate for such agents but even they are not desperate enough to let someone like that into their higher rank inner circles.
Because of her human supremacy tendencies, on her free time Kate Garrison likes to bully the non human population and even once went as far as travelling to a lavaland world to religiously preach to the local ash lizard population about the wonders of shoes.
Because of her past questionable actions and her childish behaviour, she was placed on watchlists both at nanotrasen and the many syndicate organizations but because of her somewhat talented nature and rich family she gets away with pretty much anything.
But for how long?
Lately even the syndicate are growing tired of her questionable actions.
Their records show that Kate Garrison once was given a chance to prove herself in a secret mission to kill a high ranking official on a research station and use their credentials to blow up the station with a nuclear device.
On the mission Kate Garrison bribed her colleagues, who were highly trained syndicate agents with the latest and most lethal weaponry found at the syndicate, to cosplay as catgirls and as soon as they captured the very same official, Kate decided to Nya at the corpse yelling about her cute kitty ears, long floor length hair and even punching the corpse while shouting “stop resisting’” .
The team managed to activated the nuclear device but because of Kate’s actions they did not escape in time and were blown with the station.
For god know what reason, everyone turned a blind eye and used Kate’s DNA to clone her back to life and “unsuccessfully” wipe her memory of this mission.
Not long after this incident Kate was captured by nanotrasen, interrogated and screened for any known syndicate implants.
It was decided to let her back into the corporation and quicky enough Kate got promoted to her usual mid-tier position and soon enough Kate was given a chance at a real high ranking job.
It’s not that Kate was the right person for the job but it’s just that every other person declined the job.
Nanotrasen needed a Captain to oversee a research space station number 13.
As soon as Kate arrived, the crew were notified
“Captain Kate Garrison on deck!”
Kate didn’t waste time and started ordering heads of departments around and quickly reached minimum station operational quota.
Kate said to herself “this got boring really fast” and decided to try something new.
Out of all the departments, only the security had no active head of department and was understaffed.
Kate quickly jumped on the opportunity to proclaim herself to them as their acting head of security and swiftly got approved by centcom to recruit 20 more security officers onto the station.
Note; After this whole incident all of the officers were questioned and heavily interrogated but the answers were always the same.
Officers claimed that the Captain was a great leader, the best thing that could happen to the security force and some even claimed and proven that they got saved by the Captain multiple times.
One officer just straight up laughed and said he just liked to harm baton people and the Captain gave him that option.
Reports show that the station had multiple sleeping syndicate agents who were mostly brutally killed directly by the Captain and the security force.
As soon as Captain Kate Garrison got her small security force together, she bribed other heads of departments to go with her plan.
What was the plan you ask?
Kate officially renamed the station to ‘Felinid Genocide Station 69’ and subverted the AI to yell about lizard feet over the common radio.
Kate and her security force ruled over the station with an iron fist while the AI reported directly to the security force about anyone in the crew not doing their job.
Very quickly an engineer and an atmospheric technician decided to take matters into their own hands, by attempting to bomb the AI satellite and lethally resist an arrest.
Both were brought arrested alive to centcom when the crew departed the Station.
Captain Kate Garrison was given multiple “final” warnings but also awarded multiple medals for surpassing multiple quotas and entirely removing syndicate agents from the station for that period.
To nanotrasen command and psychologists Kate Garrison is an enigma.
While she is not entirely loyal - many high officials, military and security personnel always see her as a positive and important figure to follow and listen to thanks to her fame and actions.
But on the other hand, veteran syndicate agents who been around enough to remember or been involved with major events will gladly invite her to a beer due to respect or old friendship.
Unfortunately for Kate, nanotrasen has found a way to deal with her and keep her on a short leash.
By occasionally sending non lethal guided explosive missiles at her or poison her food to briefly make her experience pain - to remind her how much crap nanotrasen are willing to take from her and what are the limits
Kate’s favorite drinks are the Pan Galactic mixed with morphine and Lizard Wine.
When questioned she replied;
"Because Pan Galactic with morphine is a strong drink which is easy to make and it’s also good ammo when used in shotgun shells, the baddie won’t run away far.
Lizard Wine is what they used to drink in command in the good old days before they started to accept those dirty non humans into command roles."
The drinks part is probably what sums Kate’s personality ideally.
