that was around the time I started ss13, I was visiting a friend, and they offered to let me try the game, I tried it and enjoyed it, I created my character and went around as a random name for a while, playing detective, or lawyer, mostly just messing around, until deciding to get a name. When I would create a character their first name was always Narin, when I would pretend to be a wizard it would be “Narin the great” and stuff like that, so that was gonna be my name for the character, but one thing led to another and I came up with a different first name Nylaa, Nylaa Narin. Things were pretty normal for a while and then I met Sirio Zajcev and Arkadiusz Goodman, they’re basically the people to thank for current Nylaa, since the improv scenes with them were the catalyst for the character, I met a lot of people and I’m grateful that I did, because chances are I’d probably have gotten bored with the game if I didn’t have anyone to talk to

those five were the people that I learned the game from, Owen taught me the combat, Sirio helped me get better at RP, and throughout my experiences with him and Godwin helped me make up Nylaa’s backstory (even if I’d forget it later until someone else brought it up), Arek taught me the bar, Sophia would help me explore space and we’d irritate Sirio sometimes.
honestly I’m happy I started on bee since besides those few, I’ve met so many others since then, and they know who they are. Nyaski getting me to try MRP for the first time, AIM, JANUS, Sammy, Voltriar, Mark, Smokes, (SO MANY NAMES SO LITTLE TIME) the people who helped me learn MRP. Everett installing me as a pAI a lot before I even met Nyaski and causing me to gain an appreciation for pAI that I still have.
I’m just gonna write this here to say thank you, even if I didn’t mention you here I mostly did it to keep this short and I met a lot of people that I consider friends on ss13 and I’m happy I agreed to play it that day.
