Short description: A non-antag miner, should not be stealing entire station ore supply.
Long Description:
I was the quartermaster.
John was a shaft miner.
Time: Somewhere mid-round (Swarmers were recently spotted).
Events as they unfold:
John decides to empty out entire ORM out of all the resources into a crate. I see this and confront him asking why is he doing so.
(I did not intervene at all, considering that maybe he is trying to secure the ores, from being eaten by swarmers in good faith).
He does not respond at all and continues to to pile the ores into the crate. Lydia (Fellow miner) steps in and reminds that the silo was welded and there is no point in securing the ores.
John doesn’t respond to none of our interactions and continues hording the ores from ORM.
Out of nowhere, the crate closes and he rushes out of the department running towards the gateway. At this point I run after him and foil his attempts by dragging his crate away.
He does not stop and continues to chase me.
After a shuffle around the station I manage to get the security and they scare John away. Later on he got arrested for this.
RoundEnd I noticed he wasn’t a traitor nor did he have an objective for this.
Reports are usually taken from oldest to newest (or which ones seem the most important). Bumping them has no effect other than other then making them appear newer in the player report list
From the logs, it looks like they were retrieving the ores they believed were “theirs”, I assume they mean from their labor as a miner.
But yeah, this person has like 30 saylogs the entire round.
If there is an IC conflict between characters, I should be able to get a clear picture by what conversations they have. Lower amounts of saylogs make me less lenient to IC conflicts when they occur.
From what I can infer from saylogs, there was an IC conflict about not getting miner satchels and exosuits, but the captain later fulfilled these.
At some point they break beepsky and are incarcerated for vandalism. They say over comms “Boss they arested me for clowning around can you please hold the vault.” and “They took all my mining loot too.”. And it looks like it escalates between sec and John from there.
I dont think this was particularly egregious for IC escalation, but not communicating with people and seemingly just depriving the station of resources for an unknown reason is still not a good look.
