There are some good responses here, and some bad responses here. Iâll write a more indepth response after work. Thank you all who have replied with good intent to help me think through this.
Axelâs freaky friday post is the gist of what started this line of thought, not schizo posts on the forums.
Silencer is right though, some people have given me some downright nasty abuse before.
I just ask that everyone remembers that I am truly considering permanently retiring this character that I love, and to please give me honest takes and advice

Because you can still somehow sweep the leg while paralyzed from waist down. Itâs funny.
Now to answer the question: probably, but itâs closer to people metaganging with you while youâre stuck along for the ride.
As for why? I think part of it is because being blind and in a wheelchair makes Kiera a minimal threat, so itâs easy for people to trust Kiera round after round. Additionally if there are people who want to RP, theyâll easily gravitate towards someone who they knows will engage as well.
Additionally, Kiera is fairly iconic and stands out in both character and the way you play so itâs easy to identify her compared to most other characters. More to this point, the few times Iâve seen or heard of say a changeling trying to mimic Kiera havenât worked out well or have seemed off from normal.
Dismantling can occur in a few ways: change her a bit. Blind paraplegic is a combination rarely seen, making it an easy standout. Can use cybernetic eyes or something as the excuse for sight.
Alternatively, you can encourage others to make more unique and standout characters in an attempt to make her less of a stand out in a relative manner. This is a difficult option to do but itâs not impossible.
Finally, there is the option of retiring the character to a degree.
Alternatively you may just need to retire the character.

Do whatever to make your experience enjoyable. Even if it means dropping the character.
But before it dies or changes i would like to say you created one of the most memorable characters that bee has had the pleasure of experiencing.

It really depend on the person to be honest, personally sure, ill happily help kiera if theyre nearby (Like pushing you to the space away from blob on the other day). But if kiera is far away, and im not sec nor medic, and not antag , most ill do is scream on the radio or PDA more proper person like sec etc.
Some people will get carried away, and didnt have the awareness to limit themself. Like helping famous character like kiera for nice people, and guckle for shitters without any care in the world. And even if you retire kiera, there will be another that people anchor into, just like our constant forum schizo poster count.
Well i rarely play these past few months, so interaction were sparse, but im damn sure even back when we play at the same time frequently, i wasnt that overly zealous on hanging out with you (well mostly because im still human, and got a pride to keep). Well in the end, you retiring kiera, or just with multiple character, just do what you consider fun⌠well, youre an admin anyway, isnt being immobile perfect for handling ticket, or make KI character series, all paraplegic , different species.
But please, even you ended up dropping her, make her RP mascott or something, i still got your Kieras_Blind_RP_Adventures file, that i failed horibly to follow.

I agree with this take, the issue would be the people that canât tolerate players like Kie who have a few friends and immediatly call it for metagang, itâs true that thereâs some players that have done nasty or very rude stuff just for her being Kiera and from what i remember there were very assholes and not an antags, they totally gave the vibe of ââiâll just fuck with this character in particular because sheâs the center of attentionââ
If oneâs nice and roleplays of course people are going to like you, the incident that Axel described is a huge problem tho, they shouldnât go around screaming ââLING, LING!!!ââ and trying to validhunt because thatâs against the rules in an ideal and perfect world players couldâve roledplayed that scenario with Axel and couldâve lend to many other scenarios, like sure itâs fun to witness a walking Kiera, but going out of your way to valindhunt it itâs a no no.
From my eyes, Kiera does their job 100% of the time and is an excellent player and roleplayer, and something to add as a positive thing, thereâs less people surrounding Kiera nowadays, i remember being CMO back when Kiera was starting to work on Genetics and she always had like two or three people visit her and chill out, while that is fine i could see why people would get mad, but i havenât seen this type of scenarios in forever, just let Kie be jfc

I donât know how to put this into words, only solution I could think of IS retiring Kiera. The shitters in our community that ruin fun and shit for others by doing this bullshit would only stop if they didnât recognize the static. When fun with your character stops being fun, its time to retire the character. Try something new. Or, just take a break entirely. Personally I havenât seen any of these shitters due to rarely spending time with Kiera, but you sound like youâre just done with it. So yeah I dunno. I like KFC. - and uh yeah just sometimes characters pass their prime or something
Theyâll just pick on their new static or find someone else
