At no point can you genuinely claim this is a bannable offense.
I had to actively listen out to hear what I got warned for - the bass boost covers some 1% volume generic rap lyrics massively to the point where I didn’t even realise there was supposed to be a soft n-word in the background. At no point was the video even about those lyrics, too.
There is genuinely no way this is something worth a warn, is this for real?
Additional Information: I don’t know, this is beyond silly.
I already had a previous 1 point warn from an admin who admitted it was a reach to give me 1 point for it and told me to appeal it (because you need to follow the process or whatever) and that he’d remove it then. If you still don’t agree and think this is a blatant rule violation, I’d at least appreciate the other one removed.
The tolerance for slurs being said is zero. It does not matter whether it’s rap lyrics or not.
This has always been the case ever since we banned slurs way back when.
You have two other warnings that are older, one about a lewd song being posted by @FreshMeatLover , and one for a meme that contained the R-Word - by me.
That was, however, April of 2024. I’d say that’s more than long enough ago to lift, shit like this happens, its human to miss or not think about details.
I do need you to assure me you’ll be more carefull, though, because it is absoltuely for real.
I’m sorry, but I really think you need to review your rules guidelines if a random rap song gets deleted and deemed ban worthy.
It is especially silly in this context to try and claim that this video is warn-worthy when you can barely hear it in the first place, isn’t at all a focus of the video and extremely harmless to the highest degree.
Show this to 99% of people and they will take absolutely 0 issue with it. The fact a second person posted it without even being aware of my warn should be enough proof of that.
Acting in such a strong manner, giving out a 1 point warn when you could at worst just delete it and say “We prefer if you don’t post that”, is just incredibly dumb imho.
I understand the struggle, I get that you want to be absolutely intolerant on this matter because judging things on a case-by-case basis is tougher than just a blanket ban of them, but come on.
I genuinely cannot assure you I’ll be more careful since I already am careful and I try to avoid posting anything with slurs, but this one was so diffuse and hard to catch that I didn’t even hear it. I can’t promise you to be hyper vigilant about every single post and always catch this type of stuff.
As llol said, this is pretty standard practice. I can appreciate that it wasn’t obvious, as you and others seem to have missed it, but it was there and llol did happen to catch it. Warning and removing has been how we’ve handled this for years. He hasn’t done anything improper.
This isn’t your first rodeo when it comes to being warned for posted content. So, I’d appreciate if you’d drop the needlessly insolent tone. You should know how this works and it shouldn’t be that big of a surprise to you by this point.
That being said, given that you’ve been a good egg and this clearly wasn’t intentional- I’m willing to reset you back to 0. Clear out the old warnings llol brought up and reset this one to a 0 point warning to get you back into good standing.
