some times ween i close a window it wont open back like i never close her its even worse when i am ai or ling because i can open the thing only once and never open it again but only happenn on some thing some times
maybe you’re pressing the “minimize” button instead of just closing it?
also, just in case: if anything is broken for you, check if the machine you’re interacting with is powered. If it is, try reconnecting.
Clearing Byond cache works sometimes too, go to byond, click that cog in top right corner, go to preferences, then games and click clear cache.
