Have the ability to make paper with any sharp object

Title says all. I want my ashwalkers to be able to smoke and the recipe requiring a hatchet is kind of lame.
Also the ability to light it on lava or the bonfire would be nice, but I could just carry two planks to make a firebrand with.

I’ve also been thinking that throwing an emp or teslium shock on the shuttle console making it call the mining shuttle would be nice.
