Play Fraud’s Mining Quiz. I hear it’s fun and may possibly teach you about the game.
Questions have 4 options.
Two questions are special: one is completely fake/bogus and has no right answer. Another question has two right answers, for a chance for two points.

Post your answers and get graded, today! Difficulty is not in order, some are easy, some are hard.

All participants get sent the answer sheet as a message.

  2. C I believe the rod can dust you in some cases, the immortality talisman definitely can but I don’t think it can do it immediately though it probably has some weird check somewhere

  4. B All the answers are too vague. EMPing a shuttle console doesn’t do anything, using a ‘hidden’ method is a non-answer. The real answer is that they just hid in the crate and waited for someone to send up the ship.
  5. B I think butchery is actually based on the sharpness stat and not the tool speed stat, but I can’t quite remember

D & A I think theres a fountain that fully heals you in one ruin, there is a ruin that gives you a die of fate which can full heal you, and there is a necropolis chest item which spawns with random reagents one of which can be adminordazine which won’t instantly fully heal you but will fully heal all negative effects instantly and heal you rapidly over time. There are transformation reagents which are capable of fully healing you instantly though at the cost of changing your race.

  11. B/C One ruin uses diamond walls, which I think are destructible since theres no code for indestructable diamond walls from what I can remember. Abandoned crates can have a full stack of diamonds in them but its obviously not consistent.

  13. B I don’t actually know, and the question is unclear (does bypassing the damage mean not getting it in the first place, or being able to instantly heal it?). I think it’s possible to bypass if you change into a species that has no cellular damage, but that’s not an option so I’m going to assume the code forces the damage and go with B

  15. A It has a special RCD so it has to be either A or C, I don’t believe it has any special cargo items but I also don’t think it has any special AI items so idk. It definitely has items that help security since it’s full of sniper rifles and other unique weapons. I’m pretty sure its good for medbay too but I’m not sure if it has any unique items (standard medkits and NVGs). The answers are far too vague and categorising the unique items into departments is highly opinionated and has no objective answer.

I just looked in the code since I wasn’t sure and question 2 is impossible, shouldn’t count towards our marks. None of the mentioned items are capable of instantly dusting you, the memento mori can dust you but not instantly. The quickest you can do it in is the 4 second activation time + removing/4 second de-activation time which is not instant. Pride’s mirror and the other one have no references to the dust function

Can we have some testing evidence to prove that the answers in the exam are correct?

Old miner main here, didn’t focus on megafuana slaying much so a chunk of this is just guesswork/what I’ve seen other miners do
