Incident Description: On low-pop with two Engineers, one Cargo Technician and myself the Roboticist. I had just gotten the nuclear authentication disk delivered to Nemo who requested to be the holder of it. Then an unknown voice mentions leaving said disk out in the open. Previously, I had constructed a few mechs for the different departments and took the Cargo Carrier #1 to Cargo where I left the disk. Unfortunately, it was missing and Nemo was not nearby, so I went to the vault fearing the worst. The worst was the case and a nuclear operative was about to arm the nuke. I tried to tell them to stop and chit chatted a tiny bit, firing a few warning shots with the exosuit plasma cutter. Eventually they left the vault and after some minor fighting I secured the disk and they roamed around. After this initial fight and throughout the rest of the round, I was permanently stuck bleeding excessively and was on a ticking clock to go into crit and die at any time. After I visited Medbay I went to check on the nanites to add blood beneficial programs to mitigate its effect or even fixing it. Then I saw that the nukie was there tampering with them. How they knew I had nanites is beyond me and isn’t the focus of the report. We fought a little bit and I simply wanted to scare the off, but they kept trying to put a C4 or such on me and I kept pushing them away. Eventually they go into crit I think and around this time send the message “fuck you markus” over LOOC. I move away so I can get out of the mech but they crawl towards me and eventually explode. Shortly there after I get a DM from Wueuenachten stating “ok mechs are gettign removed”.

Hey, hey, let’s wait a moment here.

I know I’m no admin nor anything, but please, if we are about to enunciate his wrongdoings, let me voice the overwhelming good qualities of the person in question too.

Daniel is both an old member of this community and one of his most treasured members.

Whenever he can he offers the ones around him a fun gimmick and a helping hand. Sometimes his personal problems may sour him, and very rarely, especially compared to his playtime, his temper might get the better of him.

But a ban or a punishment’s function is to correct a behaviour or to try to, forcefully, steer a bad actor toward becoming a good one.

And Daniel’s already a good one!

His behaviour is sub-par in the very rare cases when he gets too headed for his own good, but I do think that this game is a way for him to unload some steam.

As all games are for all of us, one way or another.

I firmly believe that he isn’t one to be treated with a stick, but instead we should always offer him a helping hand. As he continously try to do with us, 99.99% of the time.

Even if I wasn’t in the round nor I do have much time to play these days, I personally vouch for his good nature and I feel sorry seeing him acting this way. But that’s not who he is, it’s just who he falls to when all else in his life cracks.

Let’s not be harsh with each other, fine folks!

After the round I did advice him to find a hobby and go outside, because they are annoyed by the most minor things in this game. Quite rarely do they ever play a full round, often cryoing mid-round to later join as a mid-round. But I have no specific rounds of this behaviour and therefore no evidence so that this with a grain of salt.

Wues general character or whatever is not realy up for debate here, only if rule 7 was broken that round or not.

Hello, and thanks for reporting this!

Going through everything that was said after the event and what was mentioned here, there was definitely a lot of salt and it was directed at someone in particular to the point that action needs to be taken, so it will be.

I’m not a therapist by any means, but I strongly encourage anyone who feels the need to salt at someone specific to hop off the space game, take a break (if that means hours or weeks), and come back with a better mindset.
