**Appeal Reason: I dont want to be muted in the discord. And apparently to do that I have to explain/dispute here the reasons why I was warned and/or apologize a second time, months after the fact. I’ll be doing this in order from freshest to stalest.
Warn from 9/12/25, 3:57 PM: “continued to salt in general over something that happened in round even after being told to stop”. 1 Point. This was several minutes after the last message I’d sent in general, with my last two messages being in response to a completely different conversation because I was, in fact, not trying to continue the conversation which I was told to stop. I was punished despite complying, basically.
Warn from 7/27/25, 4:17 PM: “1h i warned both of you, quit it”. 1 Point. This warn lacks any context and I am completely unable to remember the offending event as a result. This warn should be considered null due to lack of relevant details.
Warn from 5/13/25, 5:42 AM: “PLEASE no soft porn / anime girls with pants shots / whatever the fuck You posted in general.” 1 Point. This one was a genuine mistake. The gif in question was a POV of someone getting curbstomped by some anime character who happened to be wearing a skirt. I didnt consider that someone might consider this gif explicit when I posted it, realized my mistake as soon as it was pointed out before the warn was even sent, AND apologized to those who had seen it before it got deleted. It was a shortsighted mistake made for rather harmless reasons that ultimately hurt nobody but me.
Warn from 3/17/25, 12:31 PM: “R-word in general” 1 Point. Easily my most deserved warn, I am embarrassed that was ever a part of my vocabulary enough to let that slip even on a bad day. I don’t recall the context of me saying this, but I do remember it was not directed at anyone in particular. I abhor directing remarks like that at other people and was likely upset at some game mechanic or something. Regardless of intent I used an insensitive term, I shouldn’t have done that, I was sorry then and I’m sorry now.**
Additional Information: I really need a hug or something dude this shit got me so stressed
You were literally continuing to discuss the exact same situation with Sleep after I sent those messages. You did infact not comply.
We all get frustrated sometimes playing this game. But frustration and OOC salt has a limit especially in #-general. I told you all to stop and you didn’t. That is what you got warned for. There is not much else I can do there.
I don’t see myself lifting the warn I applied until some time has passed.
(Also for the record normally you get muted for having 3 points. I imagine someone unmuted you without removing a warn, or there was a beebot bug. You will have to get below 3 points to be unmuted.)
I kinda think the warn was a bit ass too. Not really because I got hit with the warning, but because I genuinely wasnt paying attention to what Fresh was saying and didnt clock the advice to stop talking.
They entered the conversation via self-proclaimed shit posting while it was off topic, and then started talking directly and replying to everyone except for the two people he hit with warnings. I was tuning them out as a different conversation going on in the background and got slapped for it which was a bit ass but fair enough I guess.
It was especially rough because even if we had a disagreement there wasnt a lot of vitriol and it was being discussed to help each side understand the other. The fact it got shut down and shit on just ended up making it worse as you can see from their message above.
This is what Sleep said regarding the warn. All I remember from the convo was: 1. getting told to shut up, 2. responding to two completely different messages, 3. getting pinged by Sleep, 4. getting hit with the warn and muted.
Our conversation was forced to stop before the mute was even applied.
There is a time for discussion and there is a time for salt. But when I told all three of you to stop there had already been quite a substantial and long discussion.
In the end we are supposed to be a friendly and hospitable place. The discussion was quite salt-driven and at some point enough is enough.
As I said there, sometimes things don’t go your way. But if they are part of the game and no rule was broken then you have to deal with it. And being salty at other people is not how you deal with it.
One of you three then stopped. You two didn’t.
It’s rather simple.
You seem to be misremembering the situation, you two literally continued after I told you to stop.
Everyone can go look it up themselves on the public discord.
As I said. I’m not going to lift this warn for the time being.
I checked the convo again and what you are describing is… simply not true.
everyone can go look…except me! because muted also means blinded. KIIIIINDA hard to check the exact timeline of events when thats the case.
Regardless. I was not continuing the heated discussion. You saw me reply to something tangentially related to the past round, assumed it to be salting and hit me with the Shut Up beam for it.
We were discussing the events of the previous round to understand what the hell even happened in order to NOT be pissed at each other. Nobody was being insulted over it, yeah I probably swore alot but thats because I was upset after being wordlessly killed, put in a monkey and losing any chance I had to enjoy the round or be an active and engaging antagonist.
Hitting us with warns for talking about what happened doesnt fix anything. It just prevents closure, frustrates the involved parties and makes YOU look like you dont understand context.
We want to have a friendly and hospitable place. A big and heated discussion about something that was very likely an in character issue (otherwise why was it not ahelped?) is annoying for everyone involved and for everyone that isn’t involved. It’s frustration and salt. It also pushes people away from doing similar things in the future because they don’t want to get involved in these massive conversations.
After the conversation had been going for a while with no clear end in sight I decided it was time to end it.
Which is when I asked you all to stop.
It absolutely does.
If an admin asks you to do something and you refuse, they do not have any other option than to give out a warn.
That is what happened here. You are expected to follow through on what admins tell you. Obviously errors and mistakes happen, that’s why we have a staff report- as well as appeals system.
I had been involved in the conversation for a bit, decided that it went nowhere and was a net negative to beestation which resulted in me asking both of you to stop, and you did not.
This didn’t come out of nowhere.
Closing this because this is my final decision on this subject. I can see myself lifting this warn in the future but some time needs to have passed first.
Other admins are free to respond or re-open when they resolve their own warns.
