Appeal Reason:
I believe the note is misleading and deserves at least a lower warning level, if not none at all.

To start, I wasn’t validhunting. I had been tracking an unknown with damage using my crew pinpointer. Upon arrival, there was a Cat Surgeon and an individual that had been pacified. Soon after, a security member arrived and helped dispatch the Surgeon.
There was a north door and a south door to the room, the north one coming from near arrivals and the south being maintenance. Someone dressed in a HoP outfit (I’m pretty sure-- it was definitely command) came in wielding a stun baton. Over the radio, many times previously, security had said that the Head of Personnel was fake and an enemy of the station. I stayed back at first, and the “HoP” and the security began fighting (the “HoP” was the aggressor, first hit). As I was wearing my medical HUD sunglasses, I could see the health of both individuals, and I could tell the security member was losing health much faster. I escalated one level higher than the attacker (“HoP”) and attacked a few times with a circular saw to attempt to deter them. My intentions were purely to prevent the security member’s death, especially because the commotion was heading towards the maintenance below, where it was more private and likely I wouldn’t be able to help the security. Communications were down, so I could not call for help from other security. I told the pacified person to go get help.
My intent was not to kill the antagonist, I just wanted to ensure the security member was not going to die. I had no idea the antagonist was going to enter into the room through maintenance, nor did I have any idea that they were in the area. The note says I must stay alive to save people, but I could not risk the security being kidnapped or worse. Their sensors being disabled would likely result in them never being recovered. I kept my distance from the antagonist to ensure I could run if necessary.
Additional Information:
The note does not mention how cooperative I was in the ticket, and I was also still pleading my case when I was cut off by the administrator PM being closed.
Also, thanks for reading my slightly anger-fueled essay.

Indeed they did hit security first, not You, it’s called self-defence for a reason.
As for breaking up fights we got a clause for that in escalation policy:

Breaking up a Fight: If you witness a conflict in progress or wish to come to the aid of a co-worker, you may follow normal escalation to do so by attempting to shove players apart. You may not take sides in a fight if you do not understand the context for it unless one of the players chooses to intentionally escalates against you.

  • This means stunning one player while openly allowing the other to mortally wound them is over-escalation.
  • Obviously if you try to break up a knife fight, there’s a reasonable chance you will be accidentally stabbed, and you should not retaliate

It is not your responsibility to fight over the crewmember body(especially if they are still alive) as paramedic. The sane response would be to call backup for pinned secoff instead of charging at their assailant with a saw.

Again, I would like to underline, that paramedic is not a combat oriented role. You should avoid combat when rescuing people. If You want to save people like that, play security instead.

As a matter of fact, You were not cooperative but argumentative, when I clearly stated You’re in the wrong.

I will be denying this appeal, however if You have Your doubts about this, You can create an admin ruling disagreement topic in staff report section.
