It could be a result of sanity disruptor anomaly (even though its not that long) which you can recognise by weird pulsing, your character falling over and screaming
I’d also suggest a visit to medical. They have actual tools that can help (eye surgery/replacement, random trauma, somehow damage)
If that doesn’t help, close and open the game, might be a bug.
