My last last appeal thread was immediately locked without permitting a discussion or even making valid points at all.
The banning admin hurriedly locked the thread after giving the following non-argument:
This kind of antagonist behavior of preemptively eliminating security without prior escalation is explicitly allowed in the official Beestation Rules under Antagonist conduct (Rules#13_Antagonist_Conduct on the wiki), Rule 13-3.1. The verbatim text:
- You may pre-emptively eliminate official, and acting, members of security.
This was done throw a low-impact method: shooting him and him alone, and then hiding his body. Recovery of the body was not made impossible, I simply took him the corpse away from the hallways.
I was also acting within my nature – I selected the backstory of a “sadist” antagonist who was causing harm for “fun”. This is an explicitly required rule in the Rule 1: Roleplay section of the Beestation official rules:
- Antagonists exist for the purpose of inciting conflict and roleplay, not for the purpose of greentexting. * Antagonists with no objectives must act in ways suiting their nature.
I also didn’t know this player joined the round recently – we weren’t near arrivals, and I happened upon security in the main hallway and did some quick acting to get rid of him as a threat. And it doesn’t matter, as antagonist are also no rules against eliminating people who recently joined the round.
Hiding a corpse in a locker (which I did – with a trail of blood leading to it, as show in the video) simply isn’t a violation of any rule found anywhere in the Beestation wiki. You just made that up. I actually read the rules thoroughly before this round – the only rule is against making revival impossible, which would mean doing things such as
- Cremating a body
- gibbing a body in the kitchen
- spacing a body
and I did none of these. I put his corpse in a locker in maint and left a trail of blood to it. I basically stopped short of personally delivering the body of an enemy sec officer to medical.
Hiding a body as an antagonist is very normal behavior. I eliminated a security officer, and this is explicitly permitted in rule Rule 13-3.1 of the server. There’s nothing about antags being compelled to leave corpses of eliminated security officers out on the open or fully tracked. The only rule is against making it impossible (rule 13-3.5)
Again, I didn’t know he just joined, I ran into him in a normal main thoroughfare of the station — actually the exact center intersection of the main halls where “Cardinalstation” is printed on the floor. This is show on the video that the banning admin posted in the original thread (I am unable to create links)
And I also didn’t empty the server – that’s outright false and in fact impossible, because I was robusted in medbay and promptly killed by several crew members who were alive and well after my death.
Because the conversation was shut down by the banning admit before I or anyone had a chance to respond, I am making this new thread. I invite others on the admin team to address my concerns, particularly higher admins. The most charitable interpretation this kneejerk ban was that its very flimsy with dubious reasoning, and a typical interpretation of it would be flat out admin misconduct, especially considering the closing of the the original thread without allowing a reply.

Ban Type:
Server
Ban Length:
Permanent
Ban Date:
(2025/05/14/)
Round ID:
52570
Ban Reason:
“Rolling fo rantags + extremely poor antagonist contact. you are clearly not a good fit for this server.”
Appeal Reason:
- I don’t “roll for antags”, I just got them often. Check the logs. It happened nearly half the time if memory serves. This may explain the bizarre interpretation of me “rolling” for antags when that unambiguously did happen. I play every round through except for when I have something intervene in real life (I play during the workday), but I sometimes need to AFK both when I am antag and when I am non-antag.
- My antag behavior was well within the Beestation Escalation Policy in the noted round.
My actions in my antag round 52570:
- my objectives are to disrupt the workings of R&D. Once I have equipment (from engi and specifically chosen equipment from telecrystals), I immediately beeline to R&D to destroy as much equipment as possible.
- I then go to security. I assassinate a security guard, which is explicitly allowed for antags as per the escalation rules. I take his ID to disguise myself and gain access. I use C4, loot the armory for a laser gun, and the detonate a welder bomb to degrade the infrastructure of security and therefore reduce the chance of my antag objective being fulfilled.
- There’s little for me to do at this point, so I walk around and talk to people. I go to the library and have a book printed.
- Another security officer joins the server. I fear for my ability to leave the station alive and therefore complete my objectives, because I am no longer insulated against the security forces of the station. People know my name.
- I plan to assassinate the new security officer. I look around but I cannot find him. So, while I wait for him to reveal himself, I try to preemptively degrade the infrastructure (with welder bombs and a minibomb) of medical so he can’t be easily resurrected when I find him, assuming a contingency where I cannot dispose of the body.
- I get robusted by a medical doctor and I die.
How this is “poor antag gameplay” would confound any reasonable person who has basic knowledge of the game Space Station 13 or the Beestation Escalation Policy. I’d like the banning admin to come into this thread and attempt to justify themselves on this point.
Additional Information:
I’ve read the rules thoroughly well before this ban. If I need the nuances or connotations of them to be developed in my understanding, please let me know.
