I am, GENERALLY on daily around 12ish~4, then if feeling FRISKY will play some more into the night! With often finding myself in the shifts around da midnight-am. IRL resonsibilities do exist (unwanted responsibilities suck), but bee is my favorite game, and i love the community, and I generally play in lower pops, rarely ever being in the peak pop hours.
I am in GMT-4 so do the maths nerd because i cant<3
What changes, if any, would you bring?:
PRESENCE!!! I want to do NOTHING more then add to what is currently offered and increase coverage. Obviously everyone wants something from bee, but i want people to play the same game i fell in love with, and know they have just as good an admin team as i did starting out. We currently have windows where i see people commenting on admins not being on, and its heartbreaking. Id like to help gib those people

20/06/2001 : 23 turning 24 this June.
Why do you want to be a moderator?:
I, love bee. Not only am i overly fond of its playerbase, with so much i could say about so many people. But the station itself is amazing. It’s a place that lets people act our their fantasy’s of being a space terrorist, or grow glowing purple flowers that have bluespace sugar cookies essentially. Anything i can do, to not only help the players have fun but to help the station run smoother is something i want to do. i also want staff drama to no longer be above my paygrade but mostly the other thing.

*cough 8 months? just under? joined on August 23rd 2024, and while time has FLOWN by, ultimatelty is not that long i suppose.
How long have you been playing BeeStation?:
Long ago, back when the tv’s were still black and white, the radio in AM only, i was not apart of bee. But i did join just about 8months ago~ Ive only played on bee, so the entirety of my ss13 experience/knowledge revolves around this station.
On a scale of 1-10, how skilled are you in SS13?:
uhhhhhhhhhhhh 8?6?5?6? 6 Am, by no means good. My time as a mentor has given me the opportunity to learn alot, which certainly puts my theoretical knowledge of the game higher than my practical application of said skills. I mean, i quite literally fail to do things that i know. It’ll be a long time before i become robust like some, and ill never catch up to others, but
On a scale of 1-10, how skilled are you as an administrator? (this can include past games):
UM, 5? Im probably not terrible, im able to go OOC and just, acknoledge the rules for what they are and do my best to enforce at discretion. Once upon a time was prelaw so can put on the lawyer hat but then again, also have NOT been admin, here, or on another server/game in a long time.
Have you ever been an admin or moderator on another server? This is not limited to SS13:
TECHNICALLY, i used to own a League Of Legends Discord Server (gave up title after someone was mean and i banned them their fiancee complained and drama) and am still moderator/staff in it. Its alot less formal a discord so my staffing experience on it isnt relateable to a busy server like bee. But its not nothing, have had to do quality control when it dropped to much, step in during conflicts, da jazz

Everyone. Every, single, person. Every admin, Every Mentor, Every Player, Every Headmin,Maintainer, Clown, Spriter and Lurker vouches for me and untill proven otherwise has to be taken as fact.
Your strengths:
I rolled a pretty high Luck stat so there’s that. If we are talking more controllable things, then its that i really do want nothing more than for Bee to be as enjoyable as it can be for as many people as possible. Im willing atleast, even if slowly, to try and help, and if its just remembering some rules, taking tickets and enforcing them then thats something im fine with doing and something i’ve more then had some experience in.
Your weaknesses:
Kind of Dum, i play moth, and sometimes i RP too well and the Moth infects my mentality. I also have a hesitation to report people who i know are good players, but hopefully being more in a OOC position will help me detach and remind these people to step up when theyre being a little too silly. Beyond that, admittedly, dont have the largest case law collection given ive only been apart of Bee and SS13 for so long, with a fraction of that time being spent paying attention to such things.
Is there anything that gets you really mad, real fast?:
People just fragrantly doing LRP, like i get its fun to play the game, but a big part of the game is interaction. So seeing people who even if in good faith of the game act in ways that just dont seem to be beneficial beyond acting as a NPC want to slap a R0 on it and move on. That said, some of these people are still really nice, and are fine to have in the game, but despite recognizing that grr
What do you think is the most important trait for a staff member to have?:
Patience, and ability to not only know the rules, but apply them properly and confidently. Letting people have a chance to explain themselves and let people operating in good faith have the benefit of the doubt they deserve.
What makes a staff team good?:
The ability to not yell at each other. As long as there arent major personality conflicts, and staff is able to make love to eachother rather then hate everything should work out. Teamwork, makes the dreamwork.
What is a staff team's purpose?:
One of the first ahelps i opened, i was nervous as all heck to bother admins. And i remember clearly the message pop up asking what do you think admins are here for, and being reminded that its to make players enjoy their time, and really i agree. It shouldnt be anything more then to help the playerbase enjoy their time on bee.

How do you think you will change once you become a staff member?:
I just want to see bee continued to be enjoyed by everyone, and i hope that with more tools available, ill be able to help people do so in some way. Even if it just means, theres an admin on at a certain time now when formerly might not have been.

(Before get into, would like to mention similar to my mentor application. At time of application, am no expert. Of course can read rules, and answer based off that, but ultimately until more experience is aquired my questions very well could be wrong. So, i look forward to any guidence offered here. And even if it doesn’t result in my being an admin this application around, will be happy to have an idea of how aligned my thoughts are with the right answers.)
The clown slips the HoS and steals his gun, spacing it right after. What do you do?:

Okay! Importantly i want to know the context for the sitatuion, either logs or watching to see how rp was involved here. If the Clown is operating in good faith to try and be funny its going to go a long way, and im sure, that if its not good faith they’re going to a note on their profile which id like to check for. If theres nothing that catches my eye can always check to see what else the clown was up to this shift to again, see if its good faith. If its all in good fun, and the clown didnt griff but was being funny, even if illegal its IC, marking it as such.
But, things like alert level, amount of rp involved instead of slip>space wordlessly, obviously just leave this as self antag if the clown isn’t one. Bwoink em’, if its good faith lecture them on what kind of code of conduct we expect, note, move on. Bad faith is just, self antag and gets a extra mean note, either way get the HOS his gun back either with centcom fax or droppod if situation was severe.
A non-antagonist is sabotaging the Atmospherics loop and pumping plasma into the distro, along with dragging around a canister and releasing it into the atmosphere. Assuming that an admin is cleaning up the after-effects, how do you conduct the ahelp with him?:
Jail for the criminal > Once i have contained them in centcom, little remains but questioning the why.
Permaban
Right? They can appeal this in a year, but theres very little good reason to drag it around, beyond being a player of excellent quality, with a good reason in which case ban of some severity, but that can be found out with good playtime, and no notes. But barring the rare case this is just a griff, no reason to treat it any anything otherwise unless reason too.
A chemist who is working alone accidentally mixes an explosive mixture inside of his chem dispenser, instantly killing himself and destroying the machine, along with exposing Chemistry to space. Nobody else was injured aside from him as a result of his actions. What do you do?:
ask them what happened in dchat : if they respond with whoops or anything i want to just leave it at that if theres no notes in their history. Otherwise, if there is some kind of mention in notes, or no response in dchat, then should be treated a bit more seriously then a mistake i have literally made. Bwoink > What happened > Note / If history of being bad at chem, job ban for a few days, tell them to try bartender and wish them luck since it seems needed.
Not much severity here, aftermath of boom can be sorted out IC for the most part i think.
BONUS QUESTION:
(I know, and acknoledge that asking myself questions on my own application is… silly… but, i saw this question in another application and desire to answer it)
That said i also cant remember the question so forgive my paraphrasing;
You notice while obvserving a round the clown slipping an assistant on repeat. A few minutes later you return to see the same thing still happening. A little while later you get a ahelp from the clown screaming 'SHITSEC ARRESTED ME FOR BEING FUNNY', how do you handle the ticket:
Seeing this ticket pop up, then learning what its about, id hope is already handled.
Ideally, originally when i return a few minutes later and see the clown still slipping them, im hope im still reminded of being robusted similarly by clowns, i want to check the playtime of the assistant and bwoink them if its low, asking them if theyre okay. If they say its fine, then the situation is IC. Play pranks, get arrested for pranks, but, if that player complains then it shouldve been handled then in a similar way to the HOS Gun question. Check the clown history for notes of antagonizing other players, bwoink them to remind them theyre supposed to be funny for the crew and that bully isnt always funny.

Much like my mentor application, i am no expert, not even the most fit person to be applying right now. So regardless of if this is accepted or not, its fine either way because it’ll be a good learning experience, so thank you in advance to everyone who helps with that. Additionally, part of me truly hopes to get denied admin solely because i have no desire to change my discord name from Green, and formally request to not have that happen because red is worse then green.
