So without the actual round ID of the previous round I am going just off the logs in this round. I can dig through like Ruediger said in a bit, but for now just giving my interpretation from logs alone on this round. The added context after may change things.
Ultimately I think this is an IC issue on both sides. Meaning Black should not have been noted, but Bass didn’t do anything against rules in 15500 alone. My interpretation and simplifications of the logs is this.
- Bass knows black has a tendancy to immediately lauch the mining shuttle and blocks the console while both are aboard the shuttle while asking to wait for the other person
- Black does not respond and pushes bass out of the way once, then sends the console. He believes that the 3rd miner is AFK, and logs support that. Miner 3 had no logs for ~40 minutes
- Bass gets pissed off in (and out) of game and shoves black once and tries to drag him out of the way
- Black immediately shoves back, bass does the same and tries to grab, with black resiting it
- Shoving contest goes back and forth. Neither are shove locked for more than 5 seconds
- Black goes sicko mode with KA, knife, and harm-fists while bass shoves back
- Bass then also starts attacking with KA and knife and it turns into a full fight
- Once on lavaland Black tries to escape the losing fight by dropping a capsule and healing
- Bass follows in going beast mode
- Black wins the fight, and bass ghosts when only at -40 HP
This whole thing could have been avoided by black just saying that the other person was SSD, however shoving once to get the console is justified. Bass being pissed and shoving back is also justified. The shoving match then escalating to weak PA shots, then to knife, and then to critting all seems valid to me on MRP. On Lavaland there is no reasonable chance that security will come, and a dispute with merit can escalate to critting/lethals as long as it wasn’t a big jump.
LRP it would have lacked validity since there was a reason that made sense IC, meaning it was not validbaiting. Banbaiting has potential, but not obviously so since he did say with IC reason why he was blocking the console. Yes I am pretty sure that it was fueled by residual salt from previous rounds, but sending the shuttle without a word indicates that on your side just as much
That said, ghosting when in crit at -40 and saying the person killed you is disingenuous. You did not allow them the oppurtunity to heal you, and when this happens I never view it as killing from an admin perspective. I’ve seen it happen before with people banbaiting. Not saying that was fully the case, but it holds a little bit of validity at least.
I’ll look for another round I suppose, but it’d be easier for me if you two both said and agreed you got into a shoving match over sending the shuttle earlier. I’ll pull the logs though if it is necessary of course.

@Kasual my only comment is how the moment @Morari hauled ass and disenganged, Bass could’ve perfectly just went to mining station’s medbay, healed, and continued as if nothing happened.

It’s IC but Bass got salty over losing 30 seconds of some guy’s life. A note could’ve been avoided if he literally just didn’t fight Black.

Yea its some ignant shit on both sides IMO. Once a fight has devolved to lethals though I don’t require someone to deescalate on their own. If someone broke up the fight or whatever and there was time maybe, but its already past the point of no return in my eyes.
I am going to genuinely nitpick how the rule of thumb regarding escalation and fighting is “Try not to escalate into lethal”.
And admins know that better than anyone. It’s been the bread & butter of escalation rules since forever.
I do get that the moment someone goes “valid”, most people just go full “hehe valid go *deathgasp” and try to get their valid critted, but he didn’t deserve the note from where I’m standing.
Aight i’m done with my ted talk, hopefully he gets his note deleted because early launching a shuttle that takes 15 secs to fly back to a station is nothing compared to literally 50 minutes of coming-and-going with an ahelp.

I mean if some one keeps shoving and aggro-grabbing spamming you, lethals are appropiate.
Double shove and aggrograb can be as dangerous as a lethal. Double shove is a nasty stun that leaves you open to hits and grabs/tablestun/headsmash/curbstomp. And once some one tightens the grip it’s over alot of times.
Besides the whole huehue no speak lrp in mrp behaviour, constantly attacking a dude who walks away, jannie also lied in ahelp (he killed me/in fact jannie ghosted) to make it seem worse. But this is somehow ok?
Admins are happy to slap severe bans on people for less, but when it’s a staff member the behaviour gets noted as IC or waved away. Why is this 
This hasn’t been the first time, it won’t be the last time, but the whole culture of admins not knowing rules or immediatly getting staff on to handle their tickets when staff normally wouldn’t be on and (not all staff) taking their side when the staff member himself has done wrong is getting a bit old. Seen it one time too many times.
