Though I do agree with this guy that perma is overused and he should get another chance.
How many hours have you been coding then since you keep trying to boast about it so much?
After rereading and analyzing, you shouldn’t be perma but you shouldn’t get a slap on the wrist for it either (I’d suggest a min of 4 days/1 week). I just mainly don’t like your attitude of “I’m a coder, you shouldn’t punish me because I contribute to the game. If you ban me, I won’t code, and you wouldn’t want that would ya?”.
Your view of over escalation also doesn’t help you at all and it still looks like your defending your actions
I feel like that your appeal would’ve been accepted a lot sooner if you didn’t kept trying to say that your bombing was not againts the rules and that we shouldn’t ban you because you are a coder.
C*ders will be erased from this world whit
za hando
on a serious note, what you have given to the community should weigth A LITTLE if you maxcap the server 3 times you will be erased because it isnt worth it, ask @Moccha
To be clear.
First ban: Was on LRP and only had seen it be a deathmatch I thought it was Anarchy. Likely because I play weird hours. Had to wait over a month to be unbanned after plasma flooding which I didn’t even do properly.
Second ban: Admins fucked up and thought I did something.
Topic cleaned from peanut gallerying, please keep your posts related to the appeal and without breaking the rules of the appeals category.
Really sorry to anyone who was effected by me maxcapping medbay. Won’t use maxcaps as none-antag in the future.
Forgot to bring it up in my prior post and I was already falling asleep in bed when I realized it - I didn’t think this should be a perma, but it should definitely be a long ban, I don’t think it should be less than a few weeks personally. You’ve downplayed two counts of massive self-antag like it’s not an issue at all, but you’re also showing some willingness to adjust your playstyle.
If something on this scale happens again though, it should probably be permanent
Also regarding staff and getting away with things - no that’s not how it works. Admins don’t get away with it either:
Bloons maxcapped the brig as an antagonist and got a strike for it
Enthethan was a coder as well.
Considering the circumstances relating to this:
A) That your second ban was incorrectly still listed in your notes, thus not making this your third ban, only your second.
B) That you are now showing remorsefulness towards the people that you unfairly removed from the round and understand that this was in fact overescalation.
C) That it wasn’t actually a maxcap at all, it was a substantially weaker TTV bomb, albeit still devastating.
I am willing to reduce this to a temporary ban, the length of which I will decide on later after I go through the logs to get a clearer picture of how bad your altercation with the CMO was and if there could lie any mitigating factors therein.
You don’t get it and this is why people evade.
I simply disagree I don’t think banning someone for one of his rounds in 40+hours (Think that’s just MRP) did something questionable is smart in anyway. I think only someone who has a high probability to make the game unplayable every round should actually be banned. Given that this wasn’t just a grief and certain things had happened and that I was new to LRP on the first ban and litterally had only seen it be deathmatch.
So what’s been accomplished - I just played TG instead without issue the past few days, I didn’t work on any of the branches I had open for Beestation because why do that where I’m still permad and here’s the one thing it’s accomplished I don’t want to work on it for the foreseeable future.
HE DIDN’T BEG ENOUGH SO HE CLEARLY DIDN’T LEARN. Weird cause I see multiple times where I stated I can agree that using a valve bomb is over escalation but clearly that’s not enough. You want me to beg over a perma but once again clearly nothing was gained on your part from this ban.
Oh no whatever will I do! I just wanted to code for Bee! Oh no!!!
It’s upsetting because it’s so fucking ■■■■■■ed not to mention it hurts ss13 and hurts ss13’s code from getting better.
Is there exact math on how long you ban someone to the chances they’ll repeat the behavior you’re trying to fix? Or math on how much someone begs how unlikely they’ll commit again? OOO I know is there math on how many people you perma who are motivated to code what % the codebase improves?
I’ve got to fundamentally disagree with you here and that might be what this boils down to.
The ban was applied thinking this was your third offense, it’s already agreed it needs to be lightened because it’s actually the second offense on record. Both of your offenses are still major offenses, and the ban length will be in relation to that.
Your coding and contributions don’t matter when it comes down to breaking rules in the rounds, especially on this scale. If that means you won’t code, then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We don’t need someone who’s coding with the expectation of getting away with things.
You’re a fucking ■■■■■■ if that’s what you got out of it.
I don’t understand what relevance your coding and contributions have in this ban appeal if that’s not what you’re expecting. Why even mention it (repeatedly) if you aren’t trying to curry favor from your coding?
Ur caught me ruko i code never ban me. You’re either a chimp or being intellectually dishonest.
Don’t worry - I’ll never code for bee - Also I’ve been on the server the past 3 days evading yet to even be messaged by an admin so once again what did you accomplish?
welp, guess that’s enough for one thread.
X for doubt.
Also you’re no more of a coder than I am, arguably even less.
