Incident Description:
At the beginning of a round I was given Zane Blake to eliminate as one of my Blood Brother tasks, he happened to be working in the supermatter and as I was CE I headed in to do the same, I did push him in the antechamber but apologised and moved past, then he came in and pushed me into the crystal. I’d think this was over-escalation but apparently not. I was immediately Bwoinked by Aeder1 and asked why I suicided, despite the fact that I did not. Now I admit I was a little impolite in my correspondence, but considering it’s a fairly popular understanding between some of the players that Zane Blake is favoured by some of the admins and my immediate bwoink upon him killing me I think it’s fairly easy to say I wasn’t in a great mood. messages went back and forth, then the ticket was closed as an IC issue. I ahelped again, as the outcome of the ticket wasn’t really clear from my perspective, and was told that a push into the supermatter is a valid escalation for pushing someone over. I wrote back a fairly unkind message that I apologise for, but was then met with a completely purposeless and spiteful “Bwoink” spam ping.
So, for context, the other guy was a blood brother.
You tried to shove them while the two of you were inside the Supermatter chamber.
Shoving someone inside of the SM chamber is about the same escalation as coming at them with a knife.
Umm, no. I shoved him in the antechamber, and then apologised, moved into the chamber itself and he then came at me. Anyway, since then I’m getting more annoying messages from the same admin.
Despite not having been in the bar all game, and my office having clearly been broken into by a rogue borg and a clown.
Also, the reason for the immediate bwoink was that roundstart you ended up getting vaporized by the supermatter, which is a favorite tactic of griefers who want to start a delam before the coolant loop is even running.
I haven’t checked the logs for additional bwoinks yet(if they exist) but from what I can see this doesn’t break any part of the conduct. I don’t know the contents of your rude ahelp either, but if it’s truly unkind as you said, a simple “bwoink” to you doesn’t do any harm. MRP’s second rule includes the following: Don’t harass players or staff in OOC or outside the game.
It’s our job to investigate ahelps and this nearly always includes bwoinking someone else, which was you in this case.
