Ban Reason: so, a long time ago during an admin purge, i streamed some basic moments (non nsfw) of a not so savory game (that has nsfw moments) inside the general vc chat, i was a full admin at the time in game and on the discord, i was told by the admin that banned me: Xylana to turn it off, i complied immediately, then about 5 minutes pass i get a dm from Xylana that reads “dude seriously?” i responded with “what?” and poof, i was banned from the discord exclusively, in game i wasnt banned and my admin status wasn’t even revoked at the moment, he just kindof shadow banned me and bailed off the server after a few weeks
Appeal Reason: a friend of mine wants to play ss13, im still good with beestation being those grounds and i may take up the admin position again if i get into it, i was head mentor, (when that role existed) and enjoyed tutorialing new players
Additional Information: The ban was sudden and the reason i didn’t immediately tattle is because most of my friends were banned during that admin purge, i just jumped onto another server with them, and kindof miss my old days running around bee, obviously i won’t do anything hazardous again
I’ve been recommended to bump my own post upward, I will also take the moment to clarify or restate that the admin(s) responsible for my ban are no longer in the server, so someone needs to pick it up, it was a shadow ban anyway, and admins that I asked to ask about it said it was never brought to the attention of others and kept secret, because it was probably not a valid ban. SOMEONE RANDOM NEEDS TO PICK THIS UP, please don’t pass on this because you don’t know the situation or this post is going to be in limbo forever.
i wasn’t even in game, this is a discord ban, i was never banned in game, he didn’t even take away my admin perms, he just did a quick shadowban on discord then bailed a few weeks later off the face of the earth
EDIT: oh your talking about the streamed game, it was nekopara, but none of the scenes that were negative but people in general chat were going about about “NSFW GAME STREAM IN VC WOOHOO” none of the porn scenes tho, i was also asked to shut it down anyway by xylana, and complied, i even left the vc for the day, then i got a dm from him saying “seriously man?” which i responded to with “what?” and poof banned, after that i just kindof gave up rejoining
Double edit: I have also never done anything like that before, this is the first offense, if you want to even call it an offense.
Xy was around for a lot longer than a few weeks after. I remember your name, however I don’t remember this incident. After being an admin for a with Xy I don’t believe this would’ve been done rashly or without good reason.
As I don’t remember the incident I won’t be dealing for now. However you do not need to bump it 3 hours after originally posting.
i truly don’t actually know his reason to perma ban me though instead of muting me, demoting me, or maybe bringing another admin into it, after i was banned i asked other admins if they heard anything of it, and apparently it was kept quiet, the proof is all probably in really old server logs so i know you can fact check this stuff, but as for the time it took Xy to leave, i was just guessing based one what i have heard, but i know he left quickly after he banned me, and whats even more confusing is the fact that the ban happened after i did what he asked me to
You streamed sex scenes from nekopara on discord as admin.
If you don’t see the issue and see no reason why you were banned for streaming that to the discord that could’ve contained minors you shouldn’t be unbanned.
As an admin you were held to higher standards and you failed, spectacularly.
If you think your ban is unwaranted and you should’ve been muted you are wrong.
Not sure if this will have any relevance, but I’d like to clear some stuff up.
I was Head Admin at the time, along with 2 others. I recall they were a combination of Lagomorphica, SuperDork55 or Ruediger4.
You were streaming a porn game as an Admin… while people were going berserk in chat against staff. You cannot, in good faith, claim that you got banned randomly. While it has been 2 years, your take on the situation being like this seems incredibly disingenuous.
As far as I recall you complied with me telling you to stop streaming the game, only to re-join VC a few minutes later to continue streaming it (hence the “dude, seriously?” message) after which I banned you. It has been 2 years though, and I may be misremembering things. I am sure though that the reason you still had your roles in-game (which were also revoked a time later) was because I was going to talk with the 2 aforementioned Head Admins to make sure everybody was on the same page and that I wasn’t abusing power, but it was more of a formality considering what you were doing. This is also why you weren’t banned the first time you streamed it, as I wanted to talk with them first.
How can you call it a shadowban? It was public and direct. All the heads knew about it, most of admin chat made fun of you for doing it and even people from other servers know about it. If you didn’t see the ban coming, there is no way anybody can help you.
I didn’t “bail off the server after a few weeks” and me leaving is completely unrelated to these events.
With that said I am no longer staff here, and it is up to whoever takes over this appeal. I hope the information I provided has some value.
EDIT: The porn game was Nekopara, by the way. I remember taking and sharing a screenshot of the stream preview where one of the girls is getting boned, but I’m not sure if I can find it.
