When everyone on mrp decides to do nations but the admemes start banning people left and right

I mean I got banned for joining the chap cult on what everyone thought was a meme round where we took over sciencia on nations

It was a greenshift, you people decided to be shitters and decided to self proclaim nations, go to LRP.

I assumed everyone was in on it considering even the highest positions on the server like the bridge, the silicons, etc were doing it and sec didn’t mind the cult (and even let us arm up)

edit: there’s also teh fact that everyone was gunning for it to be a meme round before hand so i mean

i love nations!! if nations shouldn’t be on mrp then that needs to be officially specified in policy

yeah. I was just going along ewith everyone else. an over 1 week ban for my literal first offense is excessive

yeah I got banned for a week for memeing on a meme round

i mean bro you broke into the armory and shit on a greenshift

you arrested the hos too

that aint it chief

That was actually the main group. I was stuck in the locker room and then helped myself when the rest of the cult let me out. I mean the borg was disobeying law 2s, since we didn’t hurt anyone till we took over siceencia
Again, I assumed it was a meme round, so I was memeing

You don’t get to declare a meme round and start killing/robbing people for little to no reason. And no, everyone was not on board, that’s why we had 20 tickets by the time the round was 40 minutes in, and why I sought and received headmin permission to terminate the round early.

Somewhere around half to a third of the station was on board with it, the rest wanted their usual greenshift and got caught in the middle.

I wasn’t aware of that at the time and didn’t immediately join in the memery, and in fact only joined the cult around 1/4 or 1/3 of the way through. It seemed like it was ok as, again, sec was completely fine with it as far as I can tell. Besides, over a week is excessive for my literal first offense

12. Heads of Staff Conduct

Heads of Staff are held to higher standards than regular crewmembers. You are expected to be a competent person and competent at your job.

Heads of Staff, generally, should not abandon their post. This means you should not leave the station on space adventures or explore lavaland.

Heads of Staff should not overstep their bounds. For example, the Head of Personnel is not a member of security and should not run around hunting criminals. Nor should the Head of Personnel loot the armory or give themself all-access.

The Captain is not an Assistant with all-access. You are expected to be a competent leader and ensure the success and survival of your station and its crew.

13. Do Your Job

Non-antagonists are required to perform their assigned job in good faith. Breaks are fine, but ignoring your department and obligations is not. This goes especially true for Silicons, Heads of Staff, and Security.

As people are expected to do their job, you are also expected to let people do theirs. If someone is manning a department, you must make a reasonable effort to solicit them for the service you require of them. If they are absent or unwilling to provide a necessary service or item, you are permitted to attempt to do it yourself, at the risk of IC consequences.

Being an assistant is not a free pass to ignore any part of this rule. Assistants are expected to help around the station, not immediately rush all the supplies that aren’t nailed down or behind locked doors - Ask for whatever supplies you need from the department(s) you’re helping.

It is in the rules.

This is not a first offense either, though the ban reason doesn’t seem to reflect the full extent of what happened from what I understand - I wasn’t the one handling you specifically.

12: I was a lawyer, not a head
13: I assumed it was a meme round where it was okay to bend the rules. It was an honest mistake.

“This is not a first offense either,”
So it was my second offense.

it looks like I got muted in ock at one point which I don’t remember at all, the first actual ban was when I accidentally killed a guy in self defense (i hadn’t had time to get anything out of my locker) who barged into my hop office and gave a confirmed traitor get aa, (i didn’t reply to the ahelp as my internet turned off the admin disappeared),
and the only time i’ve actually broken the rules is when I murderboned as antag one time when I didn’t know the revised rulings page with the antag conduct was even a thing. It was an honest mistake then, and it was an honest mistake now. Over a week ban for my second offense when my first literally was “didn’t know about a hidden rulings page” is extremely excessive

You didn’t take part in killing and robbing people? Once again, I’m not the admin that was handling you specifically, I only have what I remember from seeing the others scroll by. Only the tickets I’m handling are open in windows on my screen.
(Also would suggest a ban appeal if you really think you have ground to stand on, I’m not trying to tell you that you don’t)

I wasn’t that active of a participant I guess? I mean the leader guy would get someone or initiate or whatever and I’d pepper spray or disabler or whatever. This was all in science, and in one instance I harmbatonned because I honestly thought most everyone was memeing (and thus it was fine) and i’ve never gotten to harmbaton before. I did do some harmful helping but I never initiated anything (as I was a follower) and I prefer to use the pepper spray because it’s unexpected and helps me stand out as a player. Plus I didn’t start a ban appeal because I assumed I wouldn’t get banned in the first place (again, I thought it was an ok meme round, I literally just got that the warning message from centcomm was to not nations) and I assumed when I got banned it would immediately get unbanned due to it being purely an honest mistake

dunnit

Why would you think fun is allowed?
